Heated Seats. Installation of S line Heated Seats

Featured Replies

If S line heated seats are installed in an SE model,is it possible to use the heated seats . Is the wiring already installed. I have a spare panel with the press switches. 2016 SE Sportback.

Thanks

Unfortunately you'll find you'll need the heated seats Wiring harness. Not only that you might find the airbag connector might be different. And you can't just cut off the old connector and solder on a different one as this will throw the airbag warning lights. As such the best way is to remove the airbag from your current seats and put them in the new seats if that makes sense.

On looking at S line seats and the SE seats, the connections appear to be the same. Obviously no harness for heated seats

That's good. As I say it's the airbag wiring connectors that MUST be the same.
