Coolant temperature display

For the life of me I can't find a coolant temperature display in the "Virtual Cockpit Plus".

There are 2 different views to choose from and I prefer the one with the larger more traditional look. The view that I don't particularly want to use does have an oil temperature gauge (which I would of thought less necessary) but currently there's no coolant temperature in either view.
Annoyingly there's a stupid picture of a car using space where a coolant gauge could of been 🤷🏻

Does anyone familiar with Virtual Cockpit Plus know if there is a coolant temperature gauge hidden somewhere in the various configurable options?

My A3 is only a couple of weeks old and I can’t find it either. Coolant temperature was there on my previous Q3, but Audi seems to have removed it for some reason (along with the S tronic gear display when in auto mode). Overall, the display seems to have been simplified with fewer display options.

Appreciate the reply Alan. I agree there are few selectable options compared to what I've been used to. Even when I select the option to have fuel consumption displayed it inexplicably randomly defaults to the date and time. My previous vehicles from the group have always stayed on whatever screen I've selected. 🤷🏻

In the left hand circular virtual cockpit display I have the fuel gauge readout. In the centre display I usually select the Short-term or Long-term consumption data.  If the display is switching randomly to date and time, I wonder if it could be an issue with the steering wheel left hand rotary switch?

Thank you Alan. Do you have to select the consumption data every time you use the car?
To clarify what I'm experiencing I select the fuel consumption data and it's fine for that journey but when I restart the car the following day sometimes it's still showing, other times it's defaulted back to date/time. I can't figure out why. Previous cars have always retained the preferences once selected.
It's only a minor issue but irritating nonetheless.

No, it remembers the previous setting. One option might be to reset the Virtual Cockpit. I Googled and found this:

For Models Without a Center Console Knob (e.g., newer A3, Q4, some EVs)
  1. Locate the power button: Find the power button on your MMI control unit.
  2. Press and hold: Press and hold the power button until the screen goes black and reboots.

Much appreciated once again. Interesting theory, I'll see if I can initiate a reboot.

So I think I did a reboot.. a long press/hold down of the power button, screen turned off, which it would obviously but didn't release the button until the screen came back to life.

It took longer than usual to boot up so assume it worked.

Sadly it hasn't changed anything as far as remembering the selected display choices.

If I ever find a resolution for this or the coolant temperature I'll be sure to post it here.

Sorry to hear a reboot didn’t work.
