ash3000k
Random Airbag Light when acceleration or go over a bump! Hi guys, The old girl is having a strange issue when accelerating or going over a bump, the Airbag light comes on, sometimes for a few seconds, other times longer! Any idea what this could be? I have used a cheap Chinese code reader and got this: 01738 Crash sensor for front airbag - drivers side g283 - Sporadic 011 - open Just a bit worried about this as its the Mrs car and has my 2 year old inside, need to make sure airbags would deploy in an accident ! Its 2002 A4 B6 Thanks in advance!
James
If it's only when accelerating or going over a bump that sounds like it's either a lose connection or the sensor incorrectly detecting certain forces. As you've pulled that code surely the best place to start would be by replacing the sensor in question?

James
I'm not 100% sure but I think they may be at the front of the car by the radiator. You will need to disconnect the battery before removing/refitting it.
