1.8T BAM Misfire cylinder 2 HELP !!!

Featured Replies

Hi my poorly s3 has gathered a problem

Started juddering and misfiring below 2000 revs and idle. Plugged into vagcom no fault codes except intermittent misfire. Dug further cylinder 2 keeps misfiring changed the coil pack no change, new spark plugs no change, cleaned injectors and moved no2 to 4 and still misfire cylinder 2 checked injector 2 wiring all is well so I have drawn a blank any helpers thanks

Not sure if yours still has the ignition amplifier if so it could be that.

Also, I've even seen reports before of misfires caused by boost pipes that have become disconnected.

Thanks I will trace all boost pipes for leaks. Mine doesn't have the ignition amplifier.

Any luck on the boost pipes?

Have no leaks on boost pipes but I did notice the wiring to the egt sensor has snapped. But from what I can see on the turbo it looks like it has been blanked ? Confused

Hmmm I must say I'm pretty stumped it sounds like you have tried everything obvious!
