B6 TDI SPECIAL EDITION.??

Featured Replies

Hi,

this is my first every post on this group and hopefully not my last.

I have owned a few Audis in my time and my last being a 2001 B6 1.9 TDI A4 Saloon.

Since she went to the grave yard I have done nothing but want to buy another one as she was such a great car.!

I has seen one for sale recently in my area for £3000 but this one comes with a twist....

the owner is asking £3000 despite it having a book value of roughly £2200, when askig the owner why he values the car so much so said its because the car is a Special Edition.? The car is a 2002 B6 A4 1.9 TDI Quattro Sport with the factory DTM body kit and 6 speed gear box.

upon trying to research this car on google I have found 0 results for it.

Is the car Gen or just a standard Audi with a frock put in it.?

thanks in advance.

Darrell. :-)

Hi Darrell...welcome to the Forum!

Wow...that looks like a great car to buy...go for it !

I'm not sure if there was a standard OE edition or whether it has aftermarket kit on it but nevertheless if it has been fitted nicely I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Let us know how you get on with your purchase.

Cheers   Trevor

Hi Trevor,

Thank you for your reply, muchly appreciated.!

I did end up buying her.! What an amazing car she is to.!

It was for sale for £3000 but managed to get it for a few hundred less.

When I bought her, the owners where an older couple who had owned the car from only 6 months old direct from Newton Abbot Audi, the first owner for the first 6 months was the director of Audi Newton Abbot.

They claim the body was all completely standard from the factory and was the reason they were origionally attracted to it.

There is no paper work however to say it is a limited edition etc etc so who knows....

It has however only covered 77,000 miles and the interior is like brand new with the fabric bucket seats etc.

Just need to get a few bits of Lacquer peel repaired on the bonnet and roof and she will be pretty much mint.

Thank you for the welcome. :-)

Regards.

Just found this sticker inside the boot of the car.

now I see it does say A4 LIM** tdi qu 1.9 and it also notes it has the M6S gearbox too.

Do you think the (LIM) stands for Limited or Limited Edition.?

I cannot seem to find another one like this car anywhere....

regards.
