I just bought a 2006 a3 1.9tdi special edition and I'm wondering what the best digital radio is to fit to it.

Personally after having it in my a8 i wouldn't bother

How come 

I find reception in the car is hit and miss where i live and if i have it on dab then change to fm i think fm sounds better

Hi - I agree, DAB reception is a real gamble unless you only drive in an area where reception is constant and good. Ive gone back to AM/FM.
