That's a great mod, thanks for sharing with us. You certainly have done your research which is always good when evaluating a mod to see the gains

Part of my reason for choosing Audi this time round was desirability. Much of my background opinion was based on experience when I was younger. My dad (God rest him), was a dealer for VAG back in the day and his garage dealt with VW and Audi. I have many fond memories of various Audi Quattro, S2, 80, 100 etc from my younger years, and always enjoyed them. Specific reasons for choosing my current car? Comfort (this is a very comfortable car) Looks (it's a cab, what's not to like) Power (3.0, 217bhp - cannot complain!) So far, so good :) I suspect I will stick with the marque for some time yet.

I would check the throttle body. It doesn't take long to take off. Mine was doing something similar and found the throttle air intake valve had seized. It's quite common. Might not be but worth checking.

Just to update on this. As this issue has been intermittent, it has been difficult to diagnose. Finally yesterday my local service centre informed me that the clutch was faulty and required a new clutch repair kit. Although it will be carried out under warranty the cost was £1,500 plus car hire!!!! The car is 11 months old been driven carefully and well looked after and only covered 6,000 miles!! I have booked it in to have the work carried out and have written to Audi to complain as this has come as a real shock as I thought that buying a premium brand car would provide many years of carefree motoring, now I am not so sure.
