Hi Trevor, Thanks for that, not just us then!!!! Thinking it's because you can't see the front of the bonnet so no reference point for parking ... Getting a bit ocd about it.... But at least I'm consistent!!!! Lol
  2. I hear you Trevor. If a replacement compressor was a cheap and easy fix then I would just do that but cheap it ain't. I will get the compressor done regardless before the warm weather but it still doesn't explain 24 degree air coming through the vents on a 16 degree setting on a freezing cold day. There must be more to this particular issue than the compressor and so I don't want to address the problem in a back to front way. Thanks again for your input.
  3. I agree with Trevor, I was just about to say, it sounds to me like an alternator issue, quick power loss and such a fast right is very strange. Regards Bradley
  4. Hi Cubex...welcome to the Forum I would check the battery condition with a heavy discharge tester to determine the strength / capacity and if necessary replace with a quality battery. I believe there are two batteries on the A6 one in the engine for the powertrain and one in the boot for the body control....if so, check both because this can affect the balance. If all is okay there, then suspect the alternator Let us know how you get on with this one Cheers Trevor
