1 pointHi you will need top mounts and the rubber silencer rings x4 the best aftermarket springs are Kilen and from previous experience I would recommend Bilstein B4 shock absorbers they are not the cheapest but give an excellent service life compared with other branded twin tube shocks. 1 pointHi Gareth, I'm happy to give you a day by day account of events. Saturday 17th July I had my new car 18 days. Travelling around the south circular, at Clifton's roundabout the screen said Battery Discharging. Two minutes later at the Yorkshire grey roundabout the car shut down. After several attempts to restart her the screen said Start car with key. It started and I headed for the dealership not far away. Up to this point there had been no warning lights or messages. At the dealership I was told that the service department was closed and I should try and get the car home (8 miles away)and phone the AA. I got home and rang AA. He could only manage to clear the fault lights and said it would need to go to the dealership. I then had Audi assist who had similar advice. They arranged for the RAC to take the car to the dealership. Same one I got the car from and had been to on the Saturday. Five days later the dealership rang me saying that they had replaced the battery and car was ready to collect. When I got there I was handed the keys and a letter by a receptionist. Happily I had my car back and drove home. Expecting this had been repaired on warranty I was shocked to open the letter and find the bill for a new battery and labour charge. I tried several times to talk to the dealership but could not get past the service reception who said I had damaged the battery by not driving the car enough, apparently modern cars have a lot more electrics and take longer to charge. I contacted Audi uk who said they will contact the dealership on my behalf. I'm still waiting for someone to get back to me. Regards Paul1 point

1 pointbin researching this question as my engine has done a few miles. my diesel has signs of blue smoke and has a strong smell of burnt oil inside the car not noticeable under running conditions only apparent when the car is garaged. one guy has no confidence in the Redex as his opinion is that it fouls up the fuel filter ? he then introduces Hydra Maximus DPF additive. feedbacks give good reviews, and on that basis i think i will give the Hydra a go. it has to be remembered what the additive is to be used for and the expected achievement. i do NOT see the use of an additive as a permanent course of action once the object of using it in the first place is achieved i.e degunk the carbon buildup in the engine and cleaning the fuel system. o.k , off to buy my Hydra and see what happens.1 point

1 pointOnce again it was a cracking show with a great selection of audis. For the first time Audi themselves made an appearance with a wide selection of new cars. Weather was warm to start with then ended up with torrential downpours. It's such a good value ticket price of £13 as you gain access to the show, museum and manor house. Thanks to everyone who attended, and im looking forward to next year's show. Here's a few pics:

Hi lets face it the dealerships have been having peoples pants down for years, they prey on the customers trust and lack of ability to check what has and has not been done, I can cite a fair few personal experiences with Ford and Vauxhall and if you trawl the net for any franchised dealers they all have pretty horrific records which is why I whole heartedly agree with Wazza, you are much better off with a little independent garage if you can't do it yourself. You shouldn't have to ask a main dealer to change fluids etc at the appropriate milage they should be TELLING YOU it needs changing but from their perspective its better not to as they make fortunes when a major component fails, when I bought my car it according to Manchester Audi had been given a full whistles and bells service at 36k I bought it with 40k on the clock so when I got it home a week later I ripped it apart and replaced everything and sure enough the air filter could only be described as round and black the fuel filter was original from the date painted on it May 16 2016 the car when I bought it was just over three years old, the only thing they had changed was the engine oil but regardless of that I changed the whole lot including the gearbox oil and brake fluid at least I was starting from square one, you can tell when a dealership service manager is lying his lips move.
