  1. The engine will run on it, most likely slightly rougher. I know this is the case for my 93 fuel injected ford escort. However it's the rubber fuel lines in degrades faster due to the extra ethanol

    If it's creeking then could it not be a sign one of the rubber bushes is degrading
  3. You might.find the same button was fitted to.other VAG cars like the golf for example. Worth a thought.

    Hello Darrin, Thanks for joining and posting your plea. If I’ve got this right, the garage are suggesting one or more of the numerous rubber joints are causing your issue. Are you now asking forum members to suggest which one is the offender? If so, I guess you will appreciate this would be extremely difficult without access to the car. I this were mine, I would be asking the garage to spray all the rubber joints with ATF ( automatic transmission fluid) in the hope that that will ease the noise. Perhaps you could let us know.
