Hi @Bris14, Unfortunately, it is not going well. The issue was that the fuel rail bolts had come loose causing the petrol to leak. It is out of warranty so of course I have had to pay for it but I have raised a complaint with Audi and the dealership who dealt with it (although I didn’t purchase it from them) as I have to follow this process. If I do not hear back by the middle of next week I will be taking the issue to the motoring ombudsman because I just don’t think it’s right. It’s not normal wear and tear and is dangerous. I did find out that if you purchase a vehicle from a company and there are issues you may be able to make a claim under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 as there is an implied contract that an item is as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. This applies for up to 6 years after the purchase date in England. This is worth looking at for anyone who had issues to see if it applies. If you bought the car second hand or via a private sale this may not apply. I will come back and update as things progress - it may be slow! Thanks
  3. Hi I think your battery may be failing as that would throw up most of the other codes, its worth getting a battery status check done with everything turned on, engine lights etc, and see what the voltage drop is like but from what you have described I think its more to do with lack of runs as its trying to tell you I need more electricity, thats why trickle charging is popular, my car is a 2016 with the original battery and no problem probably because it get charged for 150 miles a day as a cab. Steve.
  4. Try putting a jump lead cable from the negative terminal under the bonnet or from the battery negative onto a good metal point direct on the engine and try starting it to rule out a bad earth.

I'd definitely be getting it back to the garage. They may have not refitted the timing belt right meaning the timing could be out.
  6. Ah thank you for your help. Much appreciated
  7. I got a new meyle reservoir last month. Finally had a free hour yesterday. Drained the fluid from the downtube to the cooler. Took the old reservoir out and low and behold. The filter was competely loose in it. Replaced the reservoir. Hooked it all back up. got the air out by left righting about 10 times with engine off. Then same with engine on. dont forget to top up the fluid 😉 Drove it a bit. Flow is a lot less than before. It all stays nicely in the reservoir. No sounds from pump or rack. Lets see if it stays that way. But it all seems good. So thanks a lot!! @Stevey Y
