They control windows too. You need a replacement ccm with the exact same part number. Might be worth to see if yours can be dried out.
  3. Hi. I did. Throttle body was replaced, and then the throttle pedal. Neither did the job. Had the wiring replaced between the throttle body and the ECU and the problem was fixed. I’m light on details but the garage said there were five wires involved and they did all of them because the main cost was labour, so it was better to just do all at the same time than keep going back one at a time.
  4. Hi well done, there are a good few buyers of project cars on this site, try pm to Audi Kev, Magnet, Gareth can point you in the right direction. Steve.
  5. Hi Stevie - 84,000 miles. We've owned it since 2008, serviced regularly at our local garage (not Audi), latest MOT was to July 2025. WBAC offered us £250 to come and take it off our hands but we were hoping for £500. Mike

Hi, only get smoke when the bearings are shot, your problem may well be either sticky vanes or the vane control on top of the turbo is shot, if its vacuum controlled it may be the diaphragm in the unit if it electrically controlled its normally the control box thats fried, do you have any codes? Steve.
