  1. I sent an email to [email protected] with the car reg and VIN number, and just asked for a list of all of the optional extras. Took them a day to come back to me with all the details
  2. Hi well done, most early 90s Porsches had VW Scirocco stalks on the wheel. Steve.
  3. Any comment on this Zoe, or have we both wasted our times putting fingers to keyboard?

I just read this post and apologise for being a bit late to the party! I have a 2016 Q7 S Line 3 ltr v6 diesel that I purchased 8 months ago with 13400 genuine miles. As the sat nav mapping and speed limits are well out of date I decided to update it, I asked my local dealer (Jardine) for a price. . . . . wait for it . . . . . £634, and there was me thinking I'd get change from £200! Had a look on ebay and found satnavishop.co.uk. For £79.99 I got 4 SD cards and 13 pages of instructions, I now have a fully updated 2025 satnav. It took me just over 3 hrs to install but I am getting on a bit and not so tech savvy so took things slowly as any mistakes can wreck the MMI unit. Hope this info is of help someone.
  6. @LordFridge I've tried to do this on my 2020 SQ5 and although I found a video that showed how the front pillar trim is attached and what you need to do to release it, I just didn't manage it! It's held in place at the top by a post in the bodywork and a sliding latch in the trim. The latch need to be slid upwards but getting to it involved distorting the roof liner just above the piller to allow access. When I tried it I could see the latch but could not move it and I had to stop in case I damaged the liner trying to get better access. Don't be tempted to use any tools to lever the trim off!
  7. Just a quick update on my case — I picked up the car on Tuesday. All the repairs, including diagnostics, were fully covered under the 7-year extended warranty. The newly installed BSG also comes with an additional 3-year warranty. To my surprise, when I collected the car, I found a generous gift box from Audi in the boot. It included jackets, a hat, a bottle of Moët champagne, air fresheners, a backpack, a cup, a key ring, a cleaning kit, and a few other thoughtful extras. Overall, Audi really stepped up and handled the issue to the standard I expected. I've learned my lesson and decided to take out the extended warranty plan with Audi — better safe than sorry! All in all, I’m pleased with how everything was resolved and back on the road with renewed confidence.
  8. Mark. You could waste huge amounts of money fitting new parts at random in the hope it will solve your problem. You have already bought coil packs, a carbon clean, and a mass flow sensor to no avail. How much more money and time are you prepared to throw away? The key to an economical repair is diagnosis on a VCDS or similar quality machine.
  9. It sounds like the instrument cluster is faulty, a not uncommon problem. It can be repaired by a few companies if you remove it from the car and post it to them, or you can pay a great deal more at Audi.
  10. just seen on google mine should have red oil packs, at least i can now se how many have been changed
  11. well, The carbon clean was done today using hydrogen, Time will tell if this makes a difference as im still not really driving it. Although i think it may sound a bit better, The code reading date found lots of misfire codes etc, Upon reading the live data, The air mass meter was going crazy, So i ordered a new 1 today which comes on Monday, Im also going to probably replace the 8 coil packs, as it was showing a few codes for that. And somebody has changed a few as there is a mixture of red and black coils currently. What colour are oem meant to be , red or black ? The injectors all looked ok apparently, which is good Hopefully the air mass will solve it, with a combination of coil packs also. The plugs have been done so i wont change those for now unless the other bits dont work. If the air mass meter and coils solve it ill be happy. At least his not told me its 8 injectors lol The air mass sensor was a hard thing to get, GSF, euro car parts and others all listed it but nobody had it. Now has to come from Germany Roll on Monday
