  1. I had a annoying fluttering noise coming from the engine somewhere for months and trying to find where it was coming from took a long time to find , it only happened from 1600 rpm to 2000 rpm and after 2000 rpm the noise would disappear at first I thought it was something to do with the Turbo which I found out it wasn’t I then thought it was a problem with the AC compressor I later found out it wasn’t that either so I wanted to tell people who might be experiencing the same noise because I did look everywhere to try and find information on anyone else who had this annoying noise coming from there car which I could only hear when the windows were down and going past parked cars and the noise would bounce off so to cut a long story short I found out it was the COD system ( cylinder on demand system) so I took my car to a tuning specialist who deactivated it from the ECU and now the annoying noise has completely gone , I’m so happy , I hope this helps anyone who is experiencing this who has the COD engine like mine which they fitted in Audi , Volkswagen , Seat, Skoda cars .
  2. All went well thanks to your sound advice. Some. Pics. Of the job in case anyone else ever attempts. Many thanks!
  3. It would be great to have an update on this Tanya. Can you help us out with this please?
  4. Leo. They are both .csv files. Many computers will not automatically recognise them, and have to be told what to do. For anybody willing to download the file, (which I am not,) it should be capable of being opened with a spreadsheet application.
  5. yes there used to be more investment in design. The components for a good design might cost roughly the same as for a bad design. The high end engineering design is invested in engines and frames rather than in the bits and pieces that make it serviceable. It is the same for my Honda VFR800VTEC motorcycle. The engine, frame and running gear are brilliant. The ancillaries and wiring are terrible, everything is in the way of each other if there is any issue. I cannot understand why the manufacturer tolerates these well known issues. We have had the car from new but I doubt our next one will be this brand.
  6. Thanks very much. Yes I have some plastic pry tools and a hairdryer ( not mine :)) so will do as you suggest. It is just a fancy strip of double sided foam adhesive and I'm not worried about breaking the already broken spoiler. Just will try toprep and align well.
