  1. all down to stupidity after taking off the wheel and the wheel arch liner... the issue is I must have ran the washer bottle right down and have crap in the line! I had to put it all back together, but now need to take it to someone with a compressor then access from underneath & take the pipe of the pump and blow it through! I hope someone can use this as I wasted a whole afternoon to get this far, so keep your bottles topped up!
  2. Hi, As above, I have topped up the washer bottle and cleared the jets with a pin , no water anywhere and it has not lost any water from the reservoir but they are still not working? I can hear the pump and the rear washer is working fine? any idea's welcome? my car is 1.9 tdi a4 avant 2004 I am wondering if something is blocked as nothing is even wet when I took the jets off to have a look? Cheers Ben
  3. if anyone else looking to do this I have worked it out! firstly it turn's out my stereo is a concert 2 which means this cable doesn't work ! secondly if you pull the stereo out you need to take out the top bank of 3 in 1 big audi plug, then the connector where the cd boot loader would plug in is there, if you just remobe that and don't cut down the blanking pluf then all you lose if the radio name on the cloack the top section is blank. investigating ebay for the concert2 stereo you need one of these so not as cheap but still not bad http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261328134982?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_3252wt_1058 or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231073728721?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_1627wt_1058 or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Release-Tool-AUX-Interface-Adapter-Cable-For-VW-Audi-Chorus-Concert-/111191463786?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Terminals_Cabling_ET&hash=item19e387176a#ht_3500wt_1058
  4. Hi All, I need some advice please.... I have bought something very much like this , but it came from Germany http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Male-3-5MM-Aux-Car-Audio-8PIN-mini-ISO-Radio-cable-Adapter-Blaupunkt-to-MP3-/121248631727?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3AAudi%7CModel%3AA4&hash=item1c3afb4baf#ht_2867wt_850 it should fit my car perfectly , but a bluetooth nokia carkit was fitted before I got the car so there is not space for the blue block as they used seperate wires its not in a block? but there are spare conectors.... as I would like to keep the car kit Has anyone seperated the wires from the block & if so what pins do they go on, before I cut up the block & do a bit of trial & error. I will try and remember my stereo keys so I can take a pics of how it currently is at the back of the stereo... but any help would be great! Cheers Ben
  5. Hi, Not had a chance to look in the handbook yet as had to work. But I had to take off the battery to top up the water and charge last night, it went back fine and is far better than it was, radio was fine didn't need the code even after 12 hours? but my keyfob won't work with the central locking? is there a simple procedure I can try to sync it again please? hopefully at lunchtime, if not will look it up in the handbook when I am done for the day Cheers Ben
  6. Hi Bald Eagle, I think your spot on there. I was thinking about it purely to get more miles out of the tank. but I agree if you want a car sportier or better on fuel , buy the model designed to do it as it will effect something else on the car
  7. HI Steve, Thanks for this. I had seen it on ebay so contacted the seller. he had it on his car for about 2 years and said it was great on long journeys, then the worrying part.... he had to take his car to the garage because of a slipping clutch... they said it was due to this chip creating too much power? I don't do too many long journeys so desided to leave it as I think the cost of a clutch would out waythe savings in the long run... Cheers Ben
  8. Hi , Has anyone used? got any feed back on these? http://www.chipexpress.com/products/61/ do they really work? anyone lived with one? Thanks Ben
  9. HI All, Great, sounds like it could be a cheap fix then, has anyone got any instructions to getting to the bottom of the swtich? do does it just prise up with a flat head screwdriver for example .... carefully! Thanks Ben
  10. Thanks Steve, Thats what I am hoping it is , It is easy to get the switch out to check ? I have taken my old Alfa GTV door apart many times as well as replacing a mk3 golf window motor in the past so should be able to work it out, anything I need to be careful / aware of please? Cheers Ben
  11. Hi all, Not had this long, My mrs tried to open the front passenger window from the passenger side the other night & it wouldn't work from her side, but would work fine if I used the switch from the drivers side? I have also noticed its not glowing if I drive in the dark so I think the wire plug may have come of or a dead switch? I have not looked yet but might do if I get chance over the weekend , it the undernether of the stich easy to get to ? workout? I have take other cars doors apart in the past so have a vague Idea so planing ahead this time Cheers Ben
  12. wow , I had an idea they would be expensive... but I wasn't prepared for that when I called the main dealer its comes in 2 parts £71.23 for the transponder £80.78 for the blade section ( think there is an imboliser in that part too ) Then £69 to link them to your car I guess I need to be very carful with the 1 key I have then! there must be another way!
  13. any sound would have been a bonus Glen, but all car makes are different but I think I am allowed to make 1 stupid mistake as I have had the car less than a week ;)
