Spare Key

Featured Replies

Hi

When i purchased my Audi it only came with one key, i am a little concerned that if i lose this key i could be in for huge exspense,

I was just wondering if peoples spare keys are complete with fob or just a key?

Can i obtain a spare without having to go through a main dealer?

Any advice much appriciated

thanks

Kevin

The transponder is in the key and that will need to be programmed to the car. If you don't have the master key then you cannot replicate any more keys.

Hi somerskev,

How did you get on , I am in the same postion with only 1 key,

have you called them yet? do they accept kidneys?

I was going to say main dealer unfortunately.

Glen.

wow , I had an idea they would be expensive... but I wasn't prepared for that when I called the main dealer

its comes in 2 parts

£71.23 for the transponder

£80.78 for the blade section ( think there is an imboliser in that part too )

Then £69 to link them to your car

I guess I need to be very carful with the 1 key I have then!

there must be another way!
