  1. I would look at a 2014/15 sline bitdi 3.0 Quattro.
  2. This is odd as it should not drive well at all with maf disconnected. are all hoses from maf to the inlet manifold connected and leak free as this can cause issues.
  3. Is the water in the tailgate or actually in the boot floor ¿ if it’s the tailgate it could be the rear wash wipe hose, these have a tendency to pop apart in cold weather due to ice expansion.
  4. Take the part number off of your wiper motor and use that as the search on eBay. As far as I can see the a3/4/6 all use the same motor but to be on the safe side always use the part number.
  5. You must have an amp and radio receiver in the left hand side of the boot.
  6. Thanks for this, I always have a puddle under mine after rain even when the road has dried. im doing this today.
  7. Hi there, it sounds to me that you have a little air leak. iv not got adaptive air suspension on mine but my experiences with Range Rovers leads to the answer.
  8. Hi Bill to replace any component in that side of the boot is relatively simple the amp simply unscrews from the top but the receiver has to come out from the back and you will have to unbolt the framework and remove the whole thing being careful to unclip all the wiring before you try to pull it out. its not a hard job but it is a little tricky due to the lack of space to work with. if you buy the exact same part number component it should be a straight swap with no recoding needed to recode one with a different part number you will have to go to a specialist.
  9. Hi Gareth we call this issue in the electrical industry as tracking as the white dust can hold moisture and becomes a really good transmitter. i agree that cleaning between the contacts will work. Just be careful not to use to much contact cleaner ad this could make things worse.
  10. Have you checked for damp in the compartment in the boot where the radio receiver, amp and nav disc player is? if One or more components in this area get wet due to the rear wash fluid pipe splitting then the component won’t always emit the infrared signal needed to link all the components and little issues occur. i suspect the radio receiver has got wet and is causing the problem.
  11. Hi all picked myself up a 56 plate A6 sline Quattro avant 2.7 tdi after spending the last 4 years in a mondeo st220 (one of 56 built) but the want and need (uni runs for the kids) of an Audi was too much living in far west Cornwall a big long distance mile muncher was required and so I met my A6 at a local dealer needing a little tlc. mmi didn’t work and dpf light on. all sorted now for less than £150 always wanted an A6 avant as I don’t think there is a car on the road that can tick all the boxes that I put down.
