I've just recently bought a new A4 Avant and plan to keep it long term so I decided to go for the pricier foam moulding under the wheel. It features cut-outs to store the tools that come with the car. I also bought the same spare from the Wheel Shop and a scissor jack. The scissor jack lives in the other compartment along with an extendable wheel brace that I've had in every car I've owned since about 1994, disposable gloves and a black bin liner to put the wheel I would need to take off in the event of a puncture to stop everything getting filthy in the boot. It's not until you see how little space there between the top of the batteries and the boot cover that make you understand why there are so many threads on the various Audi forums questioning if you can actually fit a spare in the boot or not 😊

I might have been lucky but I ordered my A4 Avant 40 TFSI Black edition in Ascari Blue at the end of January and picked it up last week. At the time of ordering the garage reckoned September so I must have just ordered the right car at the right time, plus I expect they'll be wanting to fire out as many A4s as possible to use up the parts before the new A5 goes into production

I used to have an A5 35 tfsi and noticed something similar: When I wanted to overtake I would press the throttle, it would slip into neutral, rev like crazy, then eventually pick a gear to allow me to overtake. assuming of course by that time it was still safe to do so. The accelleration was decent enough when it finally got around to it though I just put it down to it being a detuned 40 tfsi

From what I've read Gummi Pfledge is the thing to get. I've bought some but I'm waiting for a day that's actually dry enough to apply it. It comes as a stick and you just apply it to all of the surfaces. My A5 hasn't been too bad but I previously had a Scirocco and that was impossible to get into some mornings. I don't think that the A5s windows go as deep into the roof as the Scirocco's did when they're closed

All ideas are more than welcome. Even if I don't go with any of your ideas it may give me other ideas on how to get the desired effect. A decal may be the way to go but an off the shelf one so that if I decide I don't want it further on down the road I can always remove it. Thanks Derek

This is my car below. I've never been one for go faster stripes or big spoilers. In fact the first thing I normally do is remove the tailgate badges, dealer stickers etc but there's something about that black trim on a white RS5 that I like but I think you're right, I don't think that I'm going to find it anywhere.

Thanks for that Gareth, I hadn't actually considered going directly to Audi oddly enough but I decided to email them. Parts 24 & 27 are what I need at the princely sum of £600 plus prepping, painting and fitting. I imagine that they are stuck on so there's going to be a slim chance of removal without damaging them if I went to an auto breaker. I won't give up though. If such a thing exists then I will find it. xenonx.xo.uk do these bits along with side skirts but only for the sportback so I'm going to try them next

Morning Everyone I've been searching for the past week for a part to get for my 2019 B9 S-line Coupe but I don't exactly know what it is called so I am having no luck so far. I've searched body side mouldings RS5, side skirts and so on but I can't find what it is that I want, assuming that it is possible to buy these parts. On the attached picture below it's the gloss black section that runs along the bottom of the door. Any help or direction would be more than welcome as I've run out of ideas on what to search for. I've tried ETKA and I've gone direct to Maxton Design but can't find it anywhere

I just changed mine yesterday. I prefer to remove as much of the previous sticky pads as I can so that the new sticky pads have as much bodywork to stick to as possible. I use a combination of the edge of a loyalty card ( I didn't want to write off my bank card ) to scrape as much as I can off and Sticky Stuff Remover to get the rest with a microfibre cloth. Also as it's getting colder now I used a hairdryer to heat up the sticky pads after attaching them to the plates before sticking them to the car to allow the pads the best chance of sticking properly.

I use Autosol Metal Polish. Toothpaste sized piece onto some kitchen towel and then rub around the tip. You can feel the heavy deposits coming away as you go and it only takes a couple of minutes
