  1. My settings are already on the least sensitive. Still happens. Doesn’t real worry me though. I’m keeping it into its fourth year now as I quite like it and nothing within a reasonable price that is compatible came up. I’ve got exactly 12 months to plan what’s next…
  2. I put it down to the camera maybe picking up something that it couldn’t decifer, or maybe dust / dirt obstructing it. It’s never caused any issues. I think this has been brought up on here previously with no real conclusion.
  3. I get them, same four alerts which seem to be linked to the camera. Always have since new, now at 3 years. They’re pretty meaningless and reset after turning the car off and back on. They have never interfered with the actual function of the car so I think it’s a software bug / issue. I’ve never bothered pursuing it as it causes me zero issues and knowing how these things can be a can of worms that never get resolved and take over hours, days or weeks of your life…
  4. Glad you’re sorted. I don’t think I can agree on the quality being better on the smaller cars in the range. I’ve had pretty much every size of car in the VAG group and it is pretty much pot luck as per other manufacturers. The current A6 seems to be pretty good quality wise. A split seal is just random poor luck and not really that serious, more annoying on a relatively new car.
  5. The comfort setting I refer to is for the seat. Does your seat move backwards and forwards automatically when you open the door to get in / out? It will make a difference to how you brush against the side bolsters. With the comfort setting enabled there is much more room to prevent the side bolsters getting squashed.
  6. Can’t say I’ve had a noticeable crease on the side bolsters after nearly 3 years. Do you have the comfort setting enabled for the driver?
  7. That would be very annoying. is it easily turned off every trip like lane assist on the end of the stalk? I ask as I’m looking at a new A6 this year and I could cope with an easy button press every trip but not delving into the MMI menus.
  8. I’ve had my C8 A6 40tsi Black Edition with tech pack for nearly 3 years and 25k, so quite low mileage for your question. They have been relatively uneventful in terms of failures. 1. Recall for a fuel tank sensor unit. 2. General servicing 3. A few gremlins in the MMI / wireless connections which seem to be common 4. Rattly dash that comes and goes occasionally Besides that I’ve really enjoyed the car. Its a great family bus.
  9. What’s a speed nagging device? ive got a 2021 A6 and other then a speed limiter option it doesn’t flag up your speed when over the limit. is this new to the 2024 models?
  10. I would definitely try another (later / different OS) phone to get the latest protocols. However the Audi Connect and wireless connectivity is very buggy, I’m forever having to reset mine. Great when it works… 🙄
  11. Two things. The lighting demo is crap. Not worth spending an ounce of your time on. Just watch it on YT if you’re that bothered. Secondly. I don’t think any of the A6 range has remote parking? Happy to be corrected. edit- a bit further reading suggest later models have the remote park assist. I assume this is what you have? There is chat on the net that some phones don’t have the corect protocols in place for this to work. Have you tried a different phone?
  12. Can you see the basic live info of your car? Mileage? Range etc? If so when does it say it was last updated? Also, delete app and reinstall.
  13. It’s meant to be annoying as f***, that’s the point!!
  14. You want to disable one of the most important safety features?
  15. 9k is considered to be in annual servicing territory, however as mine are always leased I specify long life at that mileage. I would go fixed if I had purchased. With regards the servicing price ask the dealer. It may swing your decision.
  16. The service type is set by the dealership. They leave the factory on long life, but some dealers switch them to annual if the PCP or lease is on a low mileage agreement. That was told to me by the service manager at my local Audi dealership. Obviously whether this happens depends entirely on the individual franchise and whether the expected mileage is known. You can, and I have, ask them to set it to your preferred service schedule when they do the PDI.
  17. No idea what you mean? Can you elaborate please
  18. Have you enquired about a service plan? There’s 25% off at the moment, and it may be included in the price. I had one for 2 years @ £500 and got the first and second oil service and inspection service all included.
  19. I was looking at this the other day as I was working out what the costs were of a new car versus keeping the current A6. The gearbox oil needs replacing at 40k according to the online service app.
  20. It’s outrageously per month. I have the same car with tech pack. Just use Carplay or Android Auto for all your Nav / UI, it’s far better.
  21. Isn’t this maybe the root of the problem? I also have the Black Edition with multifunction Alcantara seats. They are brilliant, comfortable and very adjustable. I find the A6 a great place to sit, and no ergonomic issues. I use to have an S4 with leather Supersport seats. Hated them and found the car very uncomfortable. They were not adjustable in the areas that you needed them to be. Also found the leather in the lumbar region very hard.
  22. Can’t say I’ve had that. Now water falling in the boot when it’s opened after rainfall…
