So removed all gearbox bolts hoses and starter motor and both engine mounts the engine move a tad not much and seems to have stopped coming out have I mist something or is it a case of use brutal force

Just put my fingers up as far as thay would go and there a lot of oil residual up there so I'm thinking def headgasket due to the small leak, and valve stem seals and as I'm there regasket the timing chain covers and bottom seal 20220515_103214.mp4

Iv just started her up blimey, smoke a understatement but did see a small leak from the headgasket by cylinder 6 but the smoke did calm down until she got upto temp and started too get thick again and the left exhaust started popping 20220515_094216.mp4 20220515_093246.mp4 489918011_received_3717872083189484.mp4

I'll see if I can, iv just done a compression test on it 1=151psi, 2=153, 3=141, 4=150,5=145.5, 6=137.5, 7=160, 8=153

Hi Gareth I'd love to take her on a 20 mile run but she got no m.o.t when you rev it round 2000 revs it get really thick and you can hear crackling from the right exhaust like water going on a oven hob after it's been on

So been working on this for a while and got the airbag light fixed ended up being the front passenger side crash sensor, anyway she had a lot of new parts and full carbon clean, even pulled the plenum apart and clean it anyway think one of the headgasket gone, temp wise good stays at 90 but get some white/grey smoke and loss of Coolant, there is a oil leak at the rear of the engine from the rear chain cover and dropping on the exhaust so I will have to pull the engine too fix it all 20220512_152720.mp4

Hi Steve the scanner comes back with passenger door sensor so iv changed that I'm thinking it's got too be a damaged wire somewher, and it does have adaptive headlight with iv took the fuses out for and I'm wondering if that's part of the headlight too stay on think it's a case of trying and see

So iv had a problem with the air bag light on and the scanner came back with passenger side door sensor got a new one put on still there also when I go and put the full beam on it lights up on the dash and and the lights on full but soon as I take my hand of the stork it goes out got new Ballast both sides still the same any ideas (relays?? I don't know)

Yea she definitely going to be a keeper the only thing that was scaring me was the head gasket test but when it came back blue thought happy days, thing to get over the next months or so new interior I want red, or red and black mix, front and rear discs cut and grooved, power coat the plenum, black the sides and rear windows

So I took a big gamble and pick a s5 on a 08 up unseen only in a video and photos very cheap, running really rough and smoking, so took a wk off work and iv done a full carbon clean and it needed it, new vvts, new valley pan gaskets, rocker cover gaskets, plugs, pcv valve, a head gasket test came back blue thank god not changed green or yellow, new air filter started the car up lovely running like a peach, so jobs too do oil filter new oil, put a new crash sensor in the passenger door as the lights on, new headlight stork as its not staying on,new bonnet lift as having to use a bit of wood to keep the bonnet up but waiting on these to turn up so so far so good

So as above car been lowered and I'm getting this up on the dash I'm taking it, it may be the level sencers as if I unplug the lights it's still there anyone done a fix for this apart from rasing the hight back up

Thanks Steve haven't driven it yet as it definitely needs work on her so 1st jobs to do is full carbon clean, plugs gaskets,vets,filters, then fined out why iv got air bag light on esp light, parking break light hopping there easy fixes
