  1. Hi Steve, unfortunately I have already replaced the vvt solenoid literally 2 days ago and the fault came back up again.
  2. Bought a 2009 s3 8p that had its timing chain done 300 miles ago (to date) I rang the specialists that fitted the chain and said that the chain may be out of time, however he was adamant that the timing is perfect. He said that there is a chance it could be the cam adjuster pulley, however he’s quoting that the cam adjuster on its own is £500, and that’s without labour…. I just want to know if the adjuster genuinely is that expensive or if it can be done a bit cheaper. Has anyone got a link to where I can find the correct cam adjuster for my car? It is remapped by the way, I don’t know if that would make any difference, also if anyone has had this done, how much was it altogether including labour
  3. I’m getting a new vvt valve delivered today so fingers crossed that sorts it, if not then I’ll be taking it to a garage to look at and hopefully fix🙏🏽
  4. Thanks for your help and advice mate🙂
  5. Okay will get it into a garage ASAP if the new vvt solenoid does not get rid of the EML
  6. Sorry what do you suspect is only just out? And is it more advisable to just not drive it long distances until issue is sorted??
  7. Will do mate, do you know if I can still drive the car? I don’t plan on putting my foot down and going fast, but will I still be able to drive it on the motorway and stuff?
  8. The line on the belt and the line of the cam gear matches, I have attached a photo
  9. Just to add, the p0011 fault said a camshaft position timing over advanced or system performance bank 1
  10. The timing belt was done literally about 3 weeks ago, I checked that and the line on the belt matched the line on the cog. I will need to check the vvt solenoid I’m guessing?
  11. Thanks mate, and no it was bought privately
  12. Unfortunately it was bought from private seller
  13. Hello, I bought a 2009 Audi s3 yesterday, after buying a p0011 fault code came up, is this a serious fault? I’ve been told it’s a common fault and that it isn’t very expensive. But can someone tell me if it’s easy to sort, and how much it could be? Is it serious?
