Hi, I'm looking at selling one of my audi q7s. Its been sat since July this year, took the battery off and charged it up, started up no problem. Took it for a test drive see how it was and it started like kangarooing about. Put into drive and foot on accelerator it wont go anywhere but revs high, then suddenly jumps and goes, does this for the whole drive and just constantly kangarooing and revving. Like its in the wrong hear, cant select a gear. Engline light came on so got the codes off it and they are the following P0721 and P0731 Anyone have any ideas what this could be, its never had a gearbox oil service either and is on over 100k miles.

Hi, I recently brought Audi Q7 2010 3litre. It has struggled to start last couple days, other day it had the coolant light on telling me to turn the engine off and check coolant. Today at the traffic lights the stop/start stopped the engine when I was stopped but then wouldn't start again. Turned everything off and still wouldn't start. Someone gave me a jump start and after 5minutes it started so turnt off stop start and drove home instead. Got home and the vehicle is absolutely burning hot all under the bonnet including the wings of the vehicle aswell as all plastics etc. Any ideas on whats going on? This is my 3rd Q7 this year😔the 1st one I had was 07 plate and head gasket was gone, 2nd had so many faults with it within a week I'm still trying get my money back for it and now this one. I love the cars but my god I'm not having any luck with them. Please tell me it doesn't sound like the head gaskets gone again😔its not booked in the garage until 16th October for inspection service and coolant pressure test. Thanks 😊

Hi, I have just brought an Audi Q7 2007 and have a similiar issue where it is very sluggish to start and seems like it is draining the battery. I have seen this thread and checked my engine to find I don't have that earth cable from the neg point to the manifold. Anyone know if this could be my cause and need one fitting? Thank you
