Remote control issue
hmm yeah thats a weird one tbh 😅 since it locks from inside and while driving, the system itself is prob fine. feels more like the remote signal just isnt getting picked up. Even with a new battery the key can still be dead sometimes. if you’ve got a spare key try that if both do the same then its likely the receiver/antenna side, seen a few where wiring in the rear gets dodgy 👍

Squeeking noise turning left and right
did it start suddenly or after hitting a pothole etc? is it only low speed or parking turns? does it do it both sides or worse one way? that’ll narrow it down a lot 👍

Ignition fault
this usually isnt lots of separate faults tbh 👍 on A3 TDI when speedo + rev + ABS + airbag all stuck on, its often CAN / power issue or ABS module not waking up

Audi a3 cutting out
yeah this one screams intermittent fuel/engine signal issue 👍on 2.0 TDI A3s the usual culprits are: crankshaft position sensor starting to fail (very common, causes random cut outs) fuel pressure issue (low pressure pump or in-tank lift pump) Relay for ECU/fuel system dropping out when hot because it cranks but sometimes won’t fire, I’d start with crank sensor + fuel pressure check 👍

Can I edit CD meta data?
Yeah it does feel more complicated than it needs to be. On the SD card slots in the C6 RNS-E / MMI setup, you can’t copy music from the CD changer onto the SD card. There’s no “ripping” function in the system. You need to load the music onto the SD card first using a computer (MP3 or WMA format usually works best, folders are fine but keep it simple). Then just plug it into the slot and it will index it automatically. The car is basically just a reader, not a file manager 👍

No crank/start - CAN bus error?
Honestly this screams water ingress damage from that blocked plenum. The random faults over time + worse in wet weather + now no crank all point to corroded wiring/relay board rather than a single module. Bridging relay 645 proves the engine/ECU can run, so focus on why it’s not being powered/commanded properly. I’d start with the basics: fresh battery (yours is ancient), then pull the plenum fuse/relay board and inspect underneath properly—these rot from the bottom. Check all grounds in that area and continuity on the power/ignition feeds to the ECU. Also inspect CAN wiring near the ECM, corrosion can distort the signal like you’re seeing. The ride height sensor fault staying after replacement suggests wiring, not the sensor. Same story likely elsewhere. I wouldn’t jump to ECU replacement yet—more often it’s wiring/relay panel damage from water.

Fault code P0045 Audi A4 B9 2.0TDI Please help
P0045 usually points to the turbo actuator/control circuit, not soot. The motorway run rules out a stuck vane/DPF issue. I’d check wiring/connectors to the actuator first—heat can cause intermittent opens. That Pierburg valve could be it, but confirm with live data before replacing parts.

Electrical connection broken
camshaft position sensor / crank sensor wiring knock sensors (often routed low on the V6) A/C pressure switch / related sensor wiring sometimes secondary air / vacuum solenoid wiring depending on spec from your pic, that “loose cable” looks like it’s been heat-soaked and possibly pulled out of a connector block or broken off a sensor lead. common issue on these is brittle insulation + oil/heat damage around the rear of the engine, so wires can just come apart from the plug. i’d trace it back by hand — don’t just guess and reconnect — because mis-plugging sensors on the 2.8 can cause rough running or no-start. if you can, follow the loom from the firewall side, you’ll usually find where it’s snapped off or unplugged.

Can I edit CD meta data?
the 6-disc changer in the glovebox/console doesn’t read CD text or metadata. it just plays the disc, so it won’t show names or track info. only the main CD/DVD slot unit can display CD-text (if the disc was burned with it or is an original with metadata). so there’s no way to “rename” discs in the changer itself — it’s just not a supported feature on that system. if you want names displayed, you’ll need to use the main head unit or go digital (AMI / aux / SD depending on spec).

Audi RS4 b5 biturbo issues?
Hey guys, got a Audi RS4 and been reading about the 2.7 biturbo issues, mainly the turbos starting to go. lately noticed a few small things — slight loss of boost, feels a bit flat sometimes, and once or twice a kinda uneven idle. no crazy smoke or loud whining yet tho. could this be early turbo problems or something else common on these? where would you start checking first? trying to catch it before it turns into a big job 😅
