Following the sale of our A3, I have a pair of new Febi curved rear suspension link arms (not handed) for sale. These fit a range of years, and models, from A1 to Q3 and even TTs.
Cheapest prices on EBay for non Febi are around £23 each.
£25 + p&p will be accepted for the pair, and I will throw in a set new anti roll bar rubber bushes and saddles - current price £17.50.
Curved rear links arms are Febi 32543. Anti roll bar kit is Febi 23606.
These will also fit many Skodas, Seat and VW models.
Please check EBay for suitability for your car.
Please PM me if interested.
Regards,
Gareth.

Good morning Josh,
Let me start by pointing out that you are in grave danger of discouraging others to help and advise you due to the unfortunate attitude you display in your last paragraph.
Only you know the absolute facts about the circumstances you find yourself in, and other’s interpretation will be based solely on your ability to clearly convey those facts in a written form.
The use of capitals (and particular bold capital) in the context you use them - on this forum and most others are taken as a demonstration of frustration against those who are trying to be constructive, and that is both rude and unacceptable.
You emphasise NEW ENGINE (your caps), and Power Engines, but don’t quantify what you mean by ‘new engine’. Could this be totally ‘new’ à la ex VAG, stripped and fully reconditioned and fully bench tested, or simply removed from a scrapped vehicle, given a power wash down, wrapped in clingfilm and sold as ‘new’ I.e. new to you.
I think it would be worth you walking back to the first bus stop Josh, and giving yourself a chance to reconsider what you write.
Thanks and kind regards,
Gareth.

Welcome Steve,
10 litres remaining when the light comes on seems a reasonable reserve to me, and certainly not ‘crazy’ in my book. Consider if you lived in a rural area where filling stations are few and far between.
To be honest, I cannot follow your logic in believing it is an overkill, but irrespective of that, the car is simply going to use the same amount of fuel, wherever the low fuel light comes on!
Regards,
Gareth.

Hello Duane,
All I would add to what has already been said is - I would strongly advise you not the use the car at all. If you do, you will end up with a wrecked engine in a short number of miles.
Even renewing the oil would be fruitless since in 6 to 7 miles, you would have contaminated that oil with a litre or so of coolant.
Regards,
Gareth.

Hello Lucy,
How old is the current battery? I ask since there maybe a current drain on it, rather than it just being well passed it’s best. If it’s over 5 year old, it would be wise to renew it anyway.
What brand are you intending buying? Important, since these cars are certainly battery-efficiency sensitive.
To ensure you don’t lose any codes then you would be wise to invest in a a cheap saver device, which acts to keep 12v to the battery cables when they are disconnected.
Finally, you will need to code the new battery to the car, otherwise it could be seriously damaged by being overcharged.
A forum search will come up with the advice you need.
All in all, a DIY replacement may not be your best option in your case.
Regards,
Gareth.

Welcome Jay,
Judging by your written comments, I too would concur with your views on your chosen mechanic.
Just to add, I don’t open links from unknown sources, so my comments are based solely on your written word.
Could you do us a kindness Jay and amend your profile and be more specific re. your location within England.
Regards,
Gareth.
