Hi guys... the a3 we got as a gap fill has suddenly thrown up dEF on the dash board. Everything works fine but the milage has zero'd and isn't gaining miles as we drive! Previous owner has put led sidelights in and I noticed the other day that they have started to flicker! Could this be linked or is it just the dash is buggered? Any options as to repair or is it a throw away and fork out for a replacement? Cheers Jono

So the rear ends are all the same and will fit any 8p variant then? It's just the case of not fitting or connecting what's not required for my vehicle spec?

Hi guys, My A3 was involved in a shunt the other week, long story short rear suspension copped the impact! Basically I'm trying to find out if any A3 8P sub-frame from 2004-2013 will fit (obviously the Quattro ones wont as it's FWD!) There are a couple of differences in the part numbers that I have found: 1K0.505.315BM, 1K0.505.315BA and 1K0.505.315BH (basically the last letter, so not sure if this relates to the engine being used or not? I've found a couple off 2012 cars with very low mileage as a result, but one has got the Dynamic Ride Control shocks and as a result an extra plug that we haven't got on ours! Would this be a simple change the shocks or is there more involved than that? Cheers for any help guys! Jono

Hi guys, I've got a 2000 a6 avant 2.5tdi Quattro.... all was fine then it decided to stop and wouldn't start again. After a little persuasion it coughed into life but will only tick over. You can put your foot on the throttle and nothing happens and the idle is a little lower than usual. I've had it plugged in with the AA and an error of : 021e needle sensor open circuit / short. Anyone able to help as I really like the car and it ran like a watch prior to this issue and had a full new fuel system 6 years ago which cost a small fortune! Cheers Jono
