Can any one point me in the right direction of purchasing a pair of quality rear led canbus error free reverse light bulbs. They are 955 bulbs and the eBay specials just keep throwing up the bulb out warning on the dash even when they are supposed to be canbus error free. It's only a small lens on the B8 and standard bulbs are not too bright.The LEDs I've tried had excellent light out put and looked the part but seeing the warning on the dash was very frustrating.

A fair point indeed Andy. There's nothing in the owners manual stating this option but fortunately two of my friends one with 59 reg A4 Sline and the other with a 10 plate A5 ,both with xenons on share this function. Thanks for the reply Intresting to see if your newer Audi does this,seems a good saftey issue to be honest if its too light to activate auto lights but need the fogs on.

I have a 2011 a4 sline with xenons and rear led ights. The issue is, if it is one that i have just noticed with the light switch on auto in day light i can swith either the front orr rear fogs on and all my ights come on. For example if i press the rear fogs with the swich on auto in day light the rear fogs come on plus all the lights front and rear,like wise when i press the front fogs,head lights come on and rear lights and then obviously fronf fogs. Can any one enlighten me on this,is it standard on these cars or if any one has a similar vehicle does this happen on there's.? Thanks

Do any of you know of a similar decive that does the same but uses an android phone.

My sons running a 2010 vw golf in black. Its only ths 90bhp one but hes put some GTD wheels on and a set of Eibach pro lowerjng springs down to 30mm. The combination of wheels and springs have transformed the car and he highly recommends the springs ,so should make your Audi look ace.

Can any one tell me if the remote control knob for the electric mirrors should illuminate when the vehicles lights are on. I have an A4 B8 ,hate it when things dont work when they should and for some reason i have noticed it not illuminating. To be honest not too sure if it does,just need to check. The wive has an A1 but that control knob is different with a small dimple on it that illuminates where as the A4 has just a white line. If any fellow members own a similar A4 it would be much appreciated if they could up date me on this. Thanks

Thanks guys for your inputs. The Motul Specific 507 only comes in 5 litres,its pretty expensive but a family member works for Motul so j can get it a bit cheaper. We have had the A1 for about 5 months doing around 4k. I check oil levels on both Audis on a weekly basis and the A1 has not used any ,still being at the max mark,never over since we bave owned the car. After i had drained the oil from the A1 i commented to my son how much oil had come out,it nearly filled my oil collecter.but as i said the original oil in the car was bang on max and was never over. I reckon just ovef 5 litres has gone in and its on max.,i even asked my neighbour to check the oil after i had been out and it had cooled down. I think a call to Audi is in order ,but if the dipstick is showing max and not over what else can be done,the 4.3 litres may be wrong.. My 2011 A4 Sline SE has got rear led's as standard and i think they look great. Looking on ebay as an example there are quite a few nice sets for around £250 a load cheaper than the original ones i bet. Just done an oil change on my wives 2014 1.6 tdi sportback.I always use genuine Audi filters and quality oil,in this case Motul Specific 5w30 504/507 spec. In the technical part of the vehicles manual it does not state the quantity of oil including filter that is required. I also own a 2.0 A4 sline with out a dip stick and its manual states 5 litres inc oil filter and so does autodata. My issue is after putting the oil in the A1 and checking the dip stick it was only 3/4 on the dipstick after 5 litres,and that was after running the engine. I would not have thought it would take as much as the A4 and as i have stated there are no oil quantities in the A1 hand book Can any one tell me the correct oil quantity including filter for the A1.1.6 tdi 105 bhp. On audi's with stop start they are the Gel batterys or AGM batterys. I have seen them for about £200 from euro parts for the one in my A4 and slightly cheaper for the wives A1. I'm no expert but its sonething to do with them being high ampage, being able to charge quick and hold that charge in alot longer than a standard battery so not going flat with all the stop start useage.

My friend has a Seat Ibiza with the 1.6 diesel engine in it and i told him not to take it back for the "upgrade" As i told him about all the issues with this upgrade and the fact i have not taken my A4 and my wives A1 back he still did and after five minutes driving back from the dealers the warning light came on and straight into limp mode. After having his car for a few days Seat told him the egr had failed but it had noyhing to do with the ea189 upgrade. He has had tha car from new on an 11 plate with abour 75k on the clock without any issues what so ever then all of a sudden after the upgrade edr fail. As a good will gesture Seat of Wakdfield said they will fit a new egr and cover 95% of the cost and funnerly enough they happened to have one in stock. After doing some research i have found out on the 1.6 diesels the original egr valve will not run with the new software upgrade hence warning lights and limp mode and a new modified version is fitted. Seat knew this and this is why they have them in stock and willing to give 95% discount but it still cost my friend £70 he should have not had to pay plus his time in and out of work. As everyone says dont take your vehicle back its nothing but trouble.

What about some genuine audi A1 front and rear mud flaps. Made the wives A1 so much better plus stopping all the dirt from flying up. Also a few vagcom mods,dial sweep and fog lights to come on while turning left or right when lights are on. Steve.

On my A4 the fixing bracket that holds all the mechanism in plcae snapped just as i was leaving home during heavy rain. The drivers side wiper arm dissappeared under the bonnet and bent. The car at the time was still under warrenty so after a few phone calls and pictures i got the go ahead to get it sorted. My friend owns a vat registered mot garage so he sorted everything out with the warranty company but i fitted the new mechanism. Point is i took the old one off and replaced it with the new one just as you did with your old one,a straight swapped plug and play So i cnnot understand how your issue has arisen, as basically youve have only pulled the plug off.
