Can any one tell me if the remote control knob for the electric mirrors should illuminate when the vehicles lights are on. 

I have an A4 B8 ,hate it when things dont work when they should and for some reason i have noticed  it not illuminating.

To be honest not too sure if it does,just need to check.

The wive has an A1 but that control knob is different with a small  dimple on it that illuminates where as the A4 has just a white line.

If any fellow members own a similar A4 it would be much appreciated if they could up date me on this. Thanks
