Wiper motor linkage

Featured Replies

Hi all

I had the sticky wipers problem on my 2011 A4. Wipers were parking at the top of the screen.

I managed to get the linkage and motor out and all cleaned up but now it's not working at all. Am I missing something? Checked fuse and it's fine. Could I be lining it up wrong or would it work anyway?

Appreciate the motor may be goosed but any help gratefully recieved!

Simon

On my A4 the fixing bracket that holds all the mechanism in plcae snapped just as i was leaving home during heavy rain.

The drivers side wiper arm dissappeared under the bonnet and bent.

The car at the time was still under warrenty so after a few phone calls and pictures i got the go ahead to get it sorted.

My friend owns a vat registered mot garage so he sorted everything out with the warranty company but i fitted the new mechanism.

Point is i took the old one off and replaced it with the new one just as you did with your old one,a straight swapped plug and play

So i cnnot understand how your issue has arisen,  as basically youve have only pulled the plug off.
