A lot of them are magnetic so you have to a magnet stuck on the back of the phone which I do not want. I need a cradle for the phone. There aren’t any phone holders as far as I know for the circular air vents on the 2014-2020 Audi A3. I really do not a windscreen suction cup type holder, I had that back in the 1990’s for my TomTom sat nav!.

I am now using Waze as my mapping system having been caught by a dreaded 'Vision' camera van!, this entails using a connection cable, I usually just put the phone in one of the cup holders but now I wish to have the phone up front so I can see the Waze direction indicators etc. I don't have a magnet on the back of my phone-nor do I want one I want a phone holder to go inbetween the 2 central air vents so I can fully see the MMI screen, there is a good one from Clearmounts.com but they are in Canada & don't appear to have a distributer in the UK-the cost is £43.70 + £9.72 delivery!!., it does gave a metal backing plate & not plastic. Any ideas folks?.

I've not seen one-my wife now refuses to it in the back of mine when we have 4up in the car!!

Thanks guys!. Yes, 'Efficiency' mode is selected. I selected that 2 weeks ago & it only started to show the 'E' on Monday!!. Strange. "2 cylinder mode message requires display to be scrolled to average mpg value.", do I have to select this in the menu prog somewhere?.

Yes, I'm not so keen on the largish mass of plastic where the fog lights used to be. I wonder if there is any aftermarket 'fixes' for it!??.

WHAT 'Whatty' says is true, my S-Line has them within the headlight unit & the fog lights work very well!.

Gear Change Indicator Number now has an 'E' to its left, what does it mean????

Hi, had the car for 3 months now & have done 3000 mls. It's one hell of a car! I noticed today that an 'E' has started to appear @ the left side of the gear indicator position in the instrument binnacle. I have not adjusted anything in settings for a couple of weeks!. I've tried to find out what it means from the manual but to no avail. Also when I first had the car, a message came up in the instrument binnacle informing me when the engine was in 2 cylinder mode. This has disappeared = annoying!!.

I've a Cosmos Blue pre-reg 1.4 TFSI S-Line Convertible winging it's way to me in the next 2 weeks (I hope!!).

Nice car!, I road tested the Fastback 1.4TFSI Black Edition last Saturday-that was the nearest spec car that Audi Plymouth had to the A3 1.4TFSI S line Convertible that I am after to replace my existing Mazda MX5 mk3 2.0ltr Sport. I would have been buying the MK4 MX5 but they have scaled down the size & now any 6'0"+ person cannot get into to it without constantly banging your legs getting in & out, it is also claustrophobic with the hood up!. So much for letting a sub 5 foot tall Japanese guy design it!. Loved the Black Edition, I was trying to find out the difference between the standard sports suspension spec on the A3 1.4TFSI S line Convertible & one that has had its standard sports suspension spec 'deleted' when ordered-some of the roads in Cornwall can be crap!.
