  1. Just been out to turn down the brightness a little so I took some photos. On the second image, press the button on the left of the MMI control.
  2. Drove mine in the dark for the first time tonight and the cup holder and footwell lights were lit. There is something in the MMI settings to adjust the brightness.
  3. Thinking about this, is it the stop start kicking in or is the engine stalling under load? I never had problems with my A4 or Tiguan but my last car (BMW X1 18d) would often stall if I tried to pull away in 2nd from anything less than about 5mph especially if it was even slightly uphill. Is this down to the manufacturers detuning their engines to improve emissions at the expense of flexibility?
  4. Do you have manual or automatic? With a manual stop start should only work when you are in neutral with your foot off the clutch (it was on my X1 anyway). Autos seem to have a mind of their own.
  5. This is a good app too. You can send destinations to the car from your calendar, contacts or by searching. It also remembers where you parked which could be useful if you park in a strange town, although I haven't tried that bit yet.
  6. Hi Edward. I have only had my A3 for two weeks so I am still trying to work out how to control the stop start. The manual says if you brake gently the stop start should not kick in, but I have found no matter how gently I brake the engine still cuts out. I have noticed that if I take my foot off the brake as soon as I stop the engine fires up immediately. Now all I need to learn is how stop it cutting out in the first place.
  7. I previously had a 2011 Tiguan (no stop start) which would occasionally not release the brake when moving off. I never found out the reason and if it was only when the auto hold function had engaged. Dipping the clutch and moving off again seemed to cure it.
  8. I'm not sure if this is an option with the analogue instruments, Matt. Mine shows the speed in the centre of the speedo dial in the virtual cockpit, but I cannot see any reference to changing this in the manual.
  9. Hi Guzza My personal choice is Daytona Grey. I ordered mine in May. As I didn't have a part-ex I got a quote off Drive the Deal which was about 15% off the list price. I took a screenshot with me and showed it to my local dealer expecting them to chase me away, but they agreed to match it much to my surprise. The price paid was slightly less than the basic price. I effectively got my options free. In terms of spec, mine is similar to yours. The Tech Pack is great. The navigation on the virtual cockpit screen is amazing. I wanted the front parking sensors and heated seats so the Comfort and Sound pack meant the B&O sound system was a bargain. I went for the convenience key, mainly because I was used to the push button start on my X1, but the keyless entry is so convenient. I went for the folding mirrors as I like the way the passenger one tilts when you reverse. I also went for the sunroof which brightens up the interior. I considered the reversing camera and maybe some of the tech stuff but decided against it in the end. As Steve said, I would be surprised if you can get anything thrown in. Mats are standard and you get illuminated door sills with the S-line (the Audi ring puddle lights are extra). Phil
  10. Just returned to Audi after six years away (previously owned a B7 A4 S-line Avant). Picked up my A3 S-line last week. It is a TFSI quattro 3 door in Daytona Grey, with Tech Pack, Comfort and Sound Pack, sunroof, convenience key and folding mirrors.
