Good Afternoon, I'm new to the forum. I'm looking at a temporary run-around car at the weekend and would like some advice. Its a 2005 B6 Audi A4 3.0tdi S-Line Quattro, it has a full service history (not all main dealer), 200K miles, MOT till June 2018. Also, 18" RS6's, full 2 tone leather, dual climate control, rear park sensors, sat nav, on board computer, roof bars etc. £1,500.00 due to mileage. What is the major problems with these cars? should the oil pump have been replaced by now? what should i look out for in the service history? I've attached advert of the car in question, i'll likely do 7k mile maximum and be selling. I'll like bring a friends diagnostic computer with me and a mechanic if possible. Thanks Aaron Flanagan

Afternoon all, Firstly apologies if this has been covered before. I have been car enthusiast for many years, owning a range of VW's & BMW's. But now in a position where I feel a 4x4 would be best suited. I have taken a liking to the Audi Q7 and find myself keep coming back to them. I have a budget of £20,000 but would ideally like to spend less than this, if possible. It'd have to be something special for me to go over the budget, but wouldn't rule it out, if the right car came up. I am new to the Audi world, but would like it to have at least some S-Line spec. What are the running costs of owning a vehicle like this? What are repair/maintenance costs like? What are the common problems? I have seen some 2010 plate models onwards, and then seem to have a decent spec. Thanks in advance!

I think these are rear pads for an Audi A8 , brand new but box is tatty, checked pads against the front discs I advertised earlier and they seem a perfect fit. They are marked up as TRW pads and you. An see the pn on the photos below. Offers around £30 ? Plus postage or local collection no problems. I bought a job lot of parts for my A8 3.0tdi Quattro but they don't fit, hence the advert

Hi all, I own a 2006 q7 3.0tdi. I have been having starting problems, it cranks over fine but can take up to 10seconds then starts and there is white smoke. I have read on a few forums people with this problem but none have posted whether they found the solution. I have had battery issues in the past but car has a new battery, been fully charged by a garage and still seems to do it so do not think it is a battery issue. If anyone has had this issue and resolved it help would be very much appreciated! Thanks

Hi guys I'm having intermittent problems with starting my 2008 3.0tdi Q7. Sometimes absolutely nothing happens when you put the key into the ignition barrel and on other times the dash lights and the ignition lock warning light comes on but won't start. Any ideas ?? James
