Hello, I wondered if anyone could help. I drive a Audi A6 on a 05 plate which is the 3.0L TDI Quattro with an Auto box. At 1500rpm (pretty much exactly) I am getting a terrible judder from the car. This can occur at any speed but only comes when the accelerater is pressed lightly (say in steady traffic). Any more and the revs change and it stops. If I knock it into manual mode the judder stops at the same rev range. So it's just in auto mode. I have had the 14(?) onboard computers checked with a VW/Audi diagnostics machine. Nothing wrong was found but I think these tests were mainly engine related. Has anyone else got this issue? Any questions please ask. Thanks

Hi, I have a 2005 S-Line Audi A6 Avant Quattro ... MMI is dead, damaged by leaking rear screen wash hose... Audi UK have refused to honour manufacture's warranty on the amp (£900 item)... despite local Audi dealership identifying that leak was cause of damage... I have removed amp to try & dry out on radiator overnight... What chances of success...?? or should I source one from breaker on ebay...?? Any help would be really appreciated.. Thanks

hi, I'd like to buy a used a6 (c5). i heard that the 2.5 tdi engine of the a6(c4) is durable. My question is how the 2.5 v6 tdi engine. How durable, how tends to failure? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi Everyone, I'm looking to buy an A6(C5) with the 2.5 V6 TDI engine. Mostly I would like it with multironic/tipronic transmission without quattro. I'm totaly new with the Audis, don't know what i need to watch when i would like to buy one, what are the most common problems with the A6(C5). I heard about a lot of things, but i don't know what's the truth (when i bought my Ford Mondeo, many people told me that it isn't reliable, but i live with it without any particular problems). Also I'm not believe everything what laic people say. As some people told me that the automatic gearbox, especially the tiptronic isn't too reliable, it's apt to failure. About the multitronic I didn't heard anything. Also i heard about, and also read here, that the camshafts in the TDI V6 engines are often becomes worn. I'm completely confused (again). Hi all, hoping one of you geniuses can help.... Just recently there appears to be a jolt coming from the transmission tunnel area of my 2005 a6 4.2 quattro auto. It only happens at a certain speed and when the car has been on a long run. Its fine under acceleration, on motorway and higher speeds. It happens at approx 40 miles an hour when holding a constant speed and is very intermittent, some days nothing sometimes 4/5 times a day but only when the car has been running for an hour or so. It is quiet noticeable at the time then seems ok for a bit. Is it a sign of bad things to come??? :( Many thanks for any help!
