  1. Past hour
  2. Thanks Steve. I might have a look at upcoming events and see if we can’t get enough interest to get a club pitch. Or at least meet up as a club.
  3. Hello Tristian, The videos don’t work for me, but judging from the photos, the lip looks sufficient to renew the discs. You have to consider the on going wear situation at the end of the life of the pads you are going to replace. Noise? If you are intending to buy discs and pads, then I’m currently ‘experimenting’ with Brembo - to good effect. You could try Parts in Motion for competitive prices and good service - no personal connection. Regards, Gareth.
  4. Hello George, How often do you use the CC? I only ask since I’ve had our non-Audi for 3 years and I’m yet to use it despite doing fairly long runs. As you say, with an anticipated bill of c half the value of the car, can you do without it?
  5. Today
  6. Completely agree. Can you live without cruise control?
  7. You will need to remove door sill trims, loosen the centre console side trims and from under the dash near glovebox.
  8. Hello Jon, we used to attend shows and have club displays but haven't done in the last couple of years unfortunately due to low turn outs.
  9. Thanks Steve - actually this was the second opinion as our local garage suggested the same but recommended I go to a specialist to confirm. I was hoping there might be some work-around like a reconditioned unit or some sort of part exchange. As the car itself is probably only worth about £7k if everything was working, I am not keen to spend half the car's value on one bit.
  10. Morning all. I’ve been searching round the forums for any local clubs or meets in North Yorkshire but I can’t seem to find anything recent. Is there such a thing, and if so, when and where do you meet? Also, do you go to events as a club and pitch up inside the event? I went to the modified car show at Scampston Hall this weekend and there were loads of clubs there but no Audi ones. Looking to get back into the scene as a mature enthusiast after a hiatus to do grown up things like start a family! thanks in advance. Jon
  11. Just need to work out how to get into it now, carpet only feels so far back, I can see it but need the seat out I think (as per other thread, struggling to work out the "bit" i need because if the bizarre choice of bolt used!
  12. Don’t forget to disconnect the n battery for 30mins before disconnecting any under-seat electrical connectors - or run the risk of air bags going off. Regards, Gareth.
  13. M12 or M10 - get a splined set.
  14. It's worth a shot. Sometimes they survive.
  15. Is this before or after handbrake is engaged?
  16. You can have the cluster repaired for about £300
  17. Ok what's the size of "bit" i need please? I'll need to order them
  18. Ok... If its been submerged is there ANY chance it could dry out and be fine?
  19. 20. Can the dials be swapped over ?
  21. Yesterday
  22. Snapchat-529951372.mp4 This is also the clicking noise i am referring to when stopping or making off
  23. Hi, thanks for replying, neither side is hotter than the other from what i can feel
  24. Correct that's where the CCM is. It would explain why the keys aren't working properly. Be careful of your electric windows as I suspect they might not work properly either. If swapping the CCM you'll need one that's got the identical part code.
  25. Is it on one side only? If it's from one wheel is that brake disc hotter than the rest? I ask as it could be a stuck caliper.
  26. Likely to be multi-spline bolts, 12 point bolt. You’ll need 1/2” ratchet, extension bar, etc. Very easy to cross thread when refitting, always hand start and don’t use power tools. Nip up at each corner. No idea if they use thread lock?
  27. I bought an A3 and saw this written in service history. I can't read this handwriting and also i don't understand german. If someone could tell me what was done here i would appreciate it.
  28. What are those weird 4 bolts, how do you remove them!?
