Sounds great. Have you had any waterproofing treatment done on the roof during this process?
-
Just to add if you're needing someone to fit it, then it's worth looking at autologics or Audi retrofits as members have used them and been pleased with the results.

That's great to hear 馃檪 not a bad courtesy car at all!

Ok. So audi recall was for airbag they also changed the inlet manifold and did a software update but as that was some months ago. They didn't say why and what it was for. Gonna try getting hold of a full vcds reader hoping that will have better chance in getting a code up than the garage.

This is the first you have mentioned of a software update at Audi. What equipment in particular was updated and why? Unless you give us the whole story we really can't help you. -
So mechanical has been over and he is stumped battery ect is all good his advice was its software or electrical as his cpu is good but not perfect. It's recently had a software update at audi wen it went in for a recall. Could this be a problem?

Thanks Brian.

Hi all, after several trips to the dealer I brought the car from, he ended up taking it to audi ended up having a complete new steering wheel, paddles buttons control ring and cruise control switch, then all new bits coded to the car bill came to 3.9k including all the labour. Problem solved at last 馃憣

Good. Now please mark the appropriate topic as solved, together with a brief explanation of what was needed. https://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/29170-cruise-control-not-working/#comment-118040

Mickey83 started following Q5 TFSIe recharge to 100% through driving only
-
2020 Q5 55 TSFIe running for 3 days on petrol only & 0% battery (on holiday and no rechargers available). On start up 4th day got Drive System error warning message but proceeded with 45 mile journey. Car was generally OK by noticed it sluggish uphills and Power meter wouldn't go above 25-30% even in Sport mode. Also cruise control inoperable. Also Power Recuperating/Recovery meter didn't register when braking or decelerating (meter stayed at 0%). Noticed Charge level indicator was registering 50% halfway into trip and continued to rise until end of journey it was on 100%. On restarting car 4 hours later, it showed 100% Power Meter with 28 mile range (normal). Hybrid mode worked fine all the way home, power back to normal and Cruise Control working. Next day still all OK, no warning messages and 30% left in battery (Running mainly on Battery Save Mode). I understood Power Recuperating was only good for small %'age of battery reclaim during braking & deceleration so how is it possible I've recuperated 100% in 45 mile trip. NB - I've travelling 300+ miles since last mains recharge 6 days ago!!

Brian74656 started following Showroom detailing and roof deep clean
-
Hi all finally solved my steering wheel button and paddle issue, car ended up going to audi and after 3.9k spent all is good( not by me by the way) so I have treated her to a roof deep clean in and out detail and ceramic coating, she will be the bell of the ball, not that I'm overly attached to my car or anything!

Audi dealers are notoriously expensive when it comes to repairs. Have you tried a local garage/repair shop? I assume such places still exist in the USA.
-
Ya B rated for noise
-
That's unfortunate, but has at least eliminated unmatched tyres as the source of the noise, and should give you confidence in them. Did you choose low noise tyres for the replacements?

Perhaps ask David Burch directly. https://www.allbiz.ch/dave-s-garage-041-670-33-18

It seems so Gareth, but you could send an email instead.
-
Welcome Connor. Most likely a sensor, but would need diagnostics to confirm, and if correct - indenting which one. Regards, Gareth.

Conor52 started following Parking aid
-
Hoping someone can help. Parking aid is not working when in reverse when I hit the button it beeps for like 5 seconds then cuts. Could it be sensors, module or loose wire somewhere. Thanks
