Has the egr been fitted correctly? Or blanked off correctly? It might need an Audi specialist who him should have a more advanced diagnostic machine.
-
It's odd that no fault has been found. Is the under tray fully secure and gearbox and engine mounts in good condition and not causing movement? Could the exhaust be knocking on the body?

What fault codes are coming up besides the ones you've mentioned.
-
Definitely a sensible choice. If you'd taken ownership it'd be a nightmare for you to sort the tax situation out.

Hello Sean, It’s now Wednesday following you joining and posting your request for help on Monday. Mark has given you a most helpful reply, but it appears you have not returned to the forum to read, let alone acknowledge, the help you have been given. Please don’t continue this ‘Post and run’ tactic. Regards, Gareth.

Hello Holly, I can understand you being the parts chaser, otherwise you are paying the mechanic for his time to do so. Having said that, I don’t know exactly how you are going about this, where you have looked to date, whether you are set on secondhand parts, and all important - do you know the part number of the hub you are searching for. Perhaps you could colour in this detail for us Holly. Regards, Gareth.

Yes you would think that but no I am doing the hunting for the parts. Mine have been removed now so I am comparing parts via images and numbers but none seem to be exact.

GiannisTz started following AUDI A4 B8 Music from phone !!!
-
Hello everyone . I have a Audi A4 B8 2008 with the MMI 3GS configuration and also a navigation CD box in the glove box. I want to connect my phone someway to play my music there . I have bluetooth but I cant seem to find it in my phone when searching for it ( yes I went into the settings of bluetooth and tried adding new device) plus i heard that it works only for phone calls and not for music . Does anyone know of a way to connect it either via bluetooth or aux cable or sth ? Any help would be greatly appreciated !!

Driveshaft fit no problem I thought that would have been different not the hub The hub was smaller than mine, I guess the hub has to be from identical model in order to fit.

It's hardly surprising a different model has different suspension. The spring will likely also differ.

Holster started following Audi A1 Front drivers Hub and driveshaft.

Good evening everyone, just wondering if anyone had any ideas regarding the hub and driveshaft on my Audi A1 I needed to replace both these parts after going over a large rock resulting in me smashing my hub and splitting my driveshaft, it’s on the drivers side, I bought a corner suspension for it genuine part second hand, it was from a A1 25 Tfsi on a 2023 plate, mine is A1 30 Tfsi 6 speed manual on a 2022 plate. My mechanic came to fit it, however the hub on the replacement part was a different size to mine, I didn’t expect that so just wondering is this the case or was I sent the wrong part, I didn’t expect that return the items and got a full refund but now I’m confused which one I should be looking for. Any help would be massively appreciated Thanks in advance

I think they're meant to be on all the time, I just found this on another site In UK, new type approvals (ie new models introduced) after Feb 2011 had to have always on front DRLs. Hope that helps Jason. -

I started my car a couple weeks ago and accidentally blipped the throttle while it was on cold start and got this horrible rattle that I can produce every time, it now does it for a split second when first cranking the car. Does this sound like the chain? Thanks https://youtube.com/shorts/x58XhvWhios?si=z8ipEYDhh-ZZeeoB

Sad to say I'm selling what has been my pride and joy for the last 4 years. Honestly gutted to be selling but I have a new job that comes with a company car benefit too good to ignore (making the jump to EV...). 3 owners, full service history and I've just had all 4 alloys refurbished, she's running great and looks even better. DeniseW started following Thumping sound
-
Sorry for long post. I have a Japanese imported Audi Q3 Quattro 2014 Automatic with mileage of 62,000 and after approx. 1 month I noticed when I first got in car and pulled away there was a type of thud sound coming from rear it does it 3 or 4 times as I drive along then stops. It doesn’t do it again only on start up and only if car been sitting a few hours. I took it for a full service at Audi main dealership including replacing Haldex oil and nothing was found. My husband who is a mechanic for another main dealer has gone over the car and found nothing wrong and in fact both have said the car is in excellent condition. I did wonder if it was gear change thing as I when I start off, I go ridiculously slowly it doesn’t do it almost seems to start when car changes from first to second etc.. but nothing found wrong with gears etc. on examinations. There are no faults on computer of dash so I’m baffled. Don’t really want to take the car back as it is a good car in great condition. Has anyone else experienced this?
