  2. This is sorted now I pulled relay 208 pulled the injectors bridged the relay and lifted the flap on the metering head. Eventually got a good delivery of fuel from each injector. But no spark back to it.
  3. update.... garage managed to squeeze me in was worth the wait....it was the offside rear speed sensor, but he had to remove the wheel hub to get to the sensor.(circled in the picture)....it was seized so knocked out what he could then used the air gun with a grinder on the end to get the rest out.let that be a warning to anyone.(garage job).here is a picture with the wheel hub removed.no more warning signs and 2 bleeps everytime i turned the ignition on.thanks everyone for your thoughts.
  4. Thanks for replies , going back to garage today , think it's just the way the drive shaft was reassembled after changing the cv joint . It's only happening on initial movement back and forward . No sound actually going into gear .
  5. Thx for your quick response I will have a look
  6. Hi, I have a 2009 Audi A4 1.8t SE which had it's MOT recently. It passed but the garage noted that there was a slight oil leak. When asked where they thought it was coming from they thought it was the head gasket but said I needed an Audi specialist to check it out. This I duly did and was told it was not the head gasket - it was coming from the vacuum pump. I had this part replaced but the car is still leaking oil. I took it back to have it rechecked and was told it was the crankcase gasket. I asked them for a quote but they seem reluctant to give me a price as they said my particular car was originally fitted with the wrong pistons and conrods and that they may need to be replaced too and all at a horrendous cost. This is all gobbledygook to me as I am completely lacking in any specialist car knowledge. I am also a pensioner with a small pension and if we are talking big bucks I will not be able to afford it. I also live on my own in a cottage 2 miles out of Kelso in the Scottish Borders so a car is an absolute necessity and I can't afford to buy a replacement car. The car has done 98,000 miles and drives perfectly well but I am aware there may be catastrophe ahead if I don't get this oil leak sorted. And it is an oil leak - the car is not burning oil. Can anyone offer me any advice - are there any members who have experienced the same problem with their A4? I would be very grateful for any help and thank you in advance for your time. Regards, Colin Dimes.
  7. Today
  8. Hello John, ’I got the passenger side … joint replaced’. My advice would be to take it back to whoever fitted it - don’t fiddle with it, don’t try to self diagnose it - but take it back ASAP. Please let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.

  10. Tim. If you look through the forum history you will see that changing from tungsten to LED is far from straightforward, and sometimes impossible. If your lights are dim it would be simpler to just renew the bolbs. Incandescant lights do become dim over time.
  11. John. You have only done one CV joint so I would suspect the other side also needs to be changed. They tend to wear out at the same rate.
  12. I fitted these P21w 1156 Ba15s LED Bulb White 6000K 6W 12V-24V DC10-30V Super Bright for Reverse Light Brake Turn Signal RV Interior Light Auto Backup Rear Fog Lamp Stop Drl Tail Position Bulbs Rear Fog Lamp 2 Pack : Amazon.co.uk: Automotive Absolutely no problems or errors and they're a huge improvement over the originals, like day and night (no pun intended. My A6 is a 2003 though so possibly may not be as fussy as newer models?
  13. Is there a link for the stickers please
  14. I’m about to start looking for an SQ5 between 2017 and 2019 and I’m undecided to which engine to go for was hoping to get some feedback on reliability between the TFSI and the TDI many thanks, Alan Reed
  15. The longer you drive with a defective clutch you run the risk of damaging your DMF which would cost you alot to replace, I would change it sooner rather then later. My biting point with old clutch and new clutch is smack in the middle. Sacs clutch’s like what will be fitted to b9’s shouldn’t experience bite point travel, they usually just start slipping once all travel is used
  16. Have you checked your serpentine belt as may be contaminated with antifreeze which would cause slippage under load.
  17. I got my 2.0TDI B9 quattro timing belt changed + the waterpump and when I got it back going uphill the car squeals its quiet unusual.
  18. Hi All my car is a 2010 1.4 tfsi 3 door has anyone successfully used a led for rear reverse light ie no warning on dash (canbus error) if so what bulb did you use? many thx in advance Dave

  23. Please contact Trevor the Audi owners club administrator. His user name is Audi owners club. As the club is managed by a limited company I suspect you'd be in breach of copyright. Trevor can send them out to you
  24. Hi people just wondering if any of you have changed the front fog light bulbs to led? I am looking at various ones mainly because when the fog lights illuminate my way to my door they are quite yellow and I would like them a lot brighter/whiter. Any suggestions please , if I choose some I will take before and after comparison pictures, this may help others in future. Regards Tim
  25. Would I break copyright if I asked my local vehicle sign writer to replicate these for me? I would have them done with peel off application paper as others in the group have suggested
  26. Hi people just bought a 2010 A4 Avant Changing timing belt and water pump before I use her until, for my own sanity. I owned an A5 3.0 v6 Quattro coupe a few years back which I loved but needed a replacement work van so she had to go. Always liked the A4 avant style so that’s what I chose this time round. Looking forward to being involved with chats etc with you guys regards Tim
  27. Only had her a week but not wanted to use her until I made sure she has a new cam belt and water pump kit on
