2009 Audi A4 Suspension Issue – Bought from Dealer
Mark Valley replied to Mark Valley's topic in Audi A4 (B9) Forum
Hello all, Thank you for your help, and apologies for the late response. I got the car back yesterday—they’ve replaced the arms. I’ll be taking it to my friend’s garage to record a video of the post-repair condition and will share it here. There’s still a minor issue with the dashboard brake pad warning light. It remains on, even though the brake pads, discs, and sensor have all been replaced. The mechanic wasn’t able to resolve it and mentioned it’s likely related to the wiring, requiring an electrician. The dealer has agreed to arrange one. If anyone has experience with this issue or knows what might be causing the light to stay on, I’d appreciate any insights. After that’s sorted, I’ll also be getting the belt replaced as a precaution—it’ll cost around £200. The last belt change was 9 years ago when car mileage was 51k Kind regards, -

A6 c7 pulsating brakes & wheel vibration cure
gurra76 replied to Steve Q's topic in Audi A6 (C7) Forum
Hi all, I have the exact same symtoms on my 2016 Allroad C7. Some pulsating when braking in lower speeds and higher speeds on motorway (110km/h) when braking lightly the car shakes. I feel its from behind since i feel it on my bottom in the seat. Can try this advice. But should it be back discs that is warped otherwise? the disc are brand new, changed by previous owner (I Bought car this january) Or is it more likely to be the front discs? They are also new. -

Hi all! This is my first time posting here. Unfortunately, my car has developed a strange "barking" noise on cold start only. As soon as the cold start cycle finishes, the noise pretty much stops. See the video here Does anyone know what this noise may be? Thanks in advance! P.S I know that I need to clean my engine bay 😉

Hi all Is there a workshop manual that's available which covers the 2.6 V6 Coupe? I've seen that Haynes did one that covered the earlier models to 1990 but this doesn't include the 2.6. Even an exploded parts diagram would be of assistance if this is available anywhere. Thanks in advance

Thanks will have a look .

Thanks Tony, Probably best to advertise this under a separate post - listing the registration number in the title. Regards, Gareth. -
Hello John, A forum search for various Parts Wanted, should point you to on-line car breaker link sites such as Partsfinder - there are more. Also search EBay etc. What mileage has yours covered, and when was the Haldex unit last serviced. Tyre thread depth been uniform on all wheels during your ownership? Regards, Gareth.

A6 Mechatronic repair recommendations in highlands
spartacus 68 replied to jmull90's topic in Audi A6 (C7) Forum
Think your best bet is to phone a few VAG transmission specialists in the central belt, agree on repair and estimate cost. Drive through and leave the car and get a train or bus back. Now unless you’re on the islands, then you could spend a few days in Glasgow and then return with car once fixed. It’s difficult to assume anything with transmissions, so only once it’s checked, can they repair or replace parts. Inverness Audi would take a kidney as part payment as you know. - Yesterday

I can't part with my Audi
daveyboy1967 replied to sandbrook's topic in Audi Club Lounge / General Chat
Good news mate, happy days. -
Oh i understand that pal, i have had cars in the past that the only thing that it never broke on me was the speed limit!!!! Im just glad you got sorted!
-
It seems my beloved Audi will live to drive another day. All that is wrong with it is the fuel injector sensor. Nothing wrong with fuel injector or the ECU, just the sensor.
-
So the haldex has basically failed leaking and noisy. Have been advised to replace or repair cost of a new unit seems prohibitive, so looking for a low mileage replacement or an overhauled exchange unit with warranty.
-
What are you asking for John? Price, brand, garage, method, special tools? There no cost to using more words in your question.
-
Any recommendations for Haldex replacement/repair
-
I believe in my case the alarm/immo is built in the pump itself. I have not found any box for the immobilizer in the car.
-
Well, ya know how it is when you've had......2 rear air bags, 2 alternators, a battery, a headlamp leveling control module, a crankshaft vibration damper and a serpentine tensioner pulley, you sorta reckon it's gonna be the most expensive repair there is.... the part that went south( literally in this case!) was the ball joint joint and the rod was rusted so thin I was able to bend it with finger pressure. I have a respectable collection of bits myself but nothing that could do the job needed. Good story anyway, cheers.
-
Well the issue might have been found in the boot loom connector. Unfortunately i do not have time to fix it now but i will see in the comig days.
