  1. Past hour
  2. I heard it hard to do the discs and pads if I’m honest, it’s just I haven’t done them before and I’ve seen you need an odb11 reader for the rear. I’ll have a look at parts in motion 🙂 thank you very much Gareth
  3. Today
  4. Hello Richard, Can we take it you aren’t including discs and pads in your quest to find secondhand parts? Worth trying Parts in Motion for these - there are many more on-line factors, but I’ve always had good service at competitive prices from this company. Kind regards, Gareth.
  5. Or indeed a broken-near-end spring, which maybe difficult to see without close examination. Kind regards, Gareth.
  6. Hello Tony, With any persisting electrical issue, it’s always worth getting the battery efficiency measured to establish whether it’s a contributory cause or not. Perhaps you could let us know whether you acquired the car with that battery, or if you bought it during your (how long?) ownership. Way forward:- take the car to an Halfords store and ask them to check the battery’s efficiency for you. Get the alternator output checked at the same time. If the battery is found to be sub standard, you may want to come back to us, before you buy a replacement from Halfords. My take on it, for what it’s worth:- It wouldn’t surprise me that the battery you have is ‘reconditioned reject’ bought because it was cheap. Please come back with the outcome - as Cliff says.
  7. Sounds like a suspension top mount bearing I had the same on my A2.
  8. Had a phone call Friday. They cannot find the problem. He has ordered a second cam chain kit because he thinks the first replacement is faulty. only other thing left is the cam position sensor. I will keep you posted.
  9. I find it the only place for sourcing parts for my older A6 even with international sellers
  10. Amazing, thank you for the advice Steve! That makes me trust eBay a whole lot more, thank you 🙂
  11. Then there's no excuse from them to be honest
  12. Yesterday
  13. Recently changed oil cooler on my 2015 s3 along with the seal (I did accidentally snap a bolt putting the cooler back on) But still getting oil coming up to the expansion tank what could it be 🤔🤔 Have been told my waterpump/ thermostat is leaking, could it be this also? Audi have said its unlikely the headgasket as the ea888 is a pretty bulletproof engine
  14. The warranty is with them
  15. Is the warranty with them or through a third party? If purchased within the first 6 months it's responsibility of the dealer to prove the issue wasn't there when you bought it. After 6 months it's the other way around. This applies to all goods purchased with new or used.
  16. Oh I'd trust eBay. eBay are always on the side of the buyer not the seller. Plus if you pay via PayPal then you've got extra protection. I've been buying from eBay for 10 years bot not had an issue.
  17. PS. Don't forget to have the new battery coded to the car or it won't work, and do please let us know the outcome.
  18. Hey, New Audi owner here, just got it today 😁

  21. Q4 Quattro, 2015 plate. Noise is described as a ping or a twang- metallic- from underneath rhs. Rumbles from the back but that’s not new. I have to drive several 2-300 mile trips before getting the chance to get into a garage . Could it be a spring or something dangerous?
  22. Osram Nightbreakers are pretty good. A lot my seeing power that’s for sure
  23. Thank you Steve, I’ve been looking and their does seem to be good stuff on there, always worried about people selling something and it’s just from Teemu or Wish, but I suppose just double checking will do the trick!
  24. Yes keep making excuses up and won't sort it out its a 12 months warranty on it as well
  25. I'd definitely recommend looking on eBay
  26. I'd recommend getting a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
  27. Keep us posted on how you get on
