3lward Posted March 5, 2018 Share Posted March 5, 2018 Evening, took my a4 b6 20v turbo 190 into a local reputable vag specialist for a chain tensioner replacement as it was leaking oil and rattling on start up, also turns out one of the guides had broken up. He's replaced the tensioner, gaskets and all timing gear/water pump as requested with parts I've supplied (mixture of genuine and non gen but OE quality items) he's started up but I still have a rattle from cold and now it's running like a pig. Any ideas? At the moment I'm thinking possible oil pressure/pump issues. Any help would be great! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
stemac33 Posted April 22, 2018 Share Posted April 22, 2018 Hi there had this when I did my tensioner on a4 2.0fsi the cam locking tool allows the exhaust cam to turn slightly and you get the chain one notch out.
