I am in need of some help please!!!!!

We have a 2002 a4 b6 1.8t. We decided as we had to replace our turbo, to remove and clean the egr valve and then decided to blank it off, however we have now found the valve change over which is under the manifold which the vacuum pipe used to sit, anybody know if we can blank that off aswel as this is no longer doing anything as the egr has been removed.
