There is a wealth of information out there regarding S-Tronic oil/filter changes - but it's all a bit contradictory.

My car has covered 145k and has a full Audi history and it's due a gearbox oil change:

The manual shows 38k intervals for oil/filter change.  Having done a little research I believe my car has separate oils for the clutch units and the geartrain.   Does the service interval relate to the geartrain oil or the clutch oil?   I'm assuming both oil types will need changing at some point so the following info would help:

ATF oil spec/part number.

ATF filter part number.

Geartrain oil spec/part number.

Geartrain oil filter part number.

I found some answers if it helps anyone else.

QLX gearbox code.

ATF fluid capacity (initial filling at build 4.35 ltr) ATF change capacity 3.5 ltr.

Part number G055529A2

MTF fluid capacity (intial filling at build 3.8 ltr) MTF change capacity 3.8 ltr.

Part number G052549A2

 

No drain plug for MTF - have to drop the oil pump to drain.  No filters as far as I can see for fluid change (yet...)

sounds like a different S-Tronic gearbox to me.  There are a few!

Mine's an 0CK type (zero-C-K) - only takes 3.8ltrs gear oil.

This is an old thread but I am hoping still alive... 

 

I have exactly the same box as you Simon, the DL382 0CK

I just changed the ATF fluid, got just about exactly 3l out and put 3l back in... But do you know of any way to double check that the level is correct? 

Also, when I pumped the oil in, obviously some air got in too, do you know if there is some pressure valve or similar that would let the air out? 

I have the VCDS tool so I can do some tests/checks...
