A5 Cabin Blower problems

Hi All, first post so sorry if this is a repeat but I couldn’t find it anywhere else. I’ve an A5 2014 sport back)with a gremlin. The cabin blower behind the glove box is turning on and off all by itself day and night regardless of wether or not the car is on or off. It could be on the driveway blowing literally all night. It pumps out hot air regardless of the temperature setting too most of the time and the AC button light doesn’t stay on. I replaced the resistor which is attached to the blower from a breakers to no avail. Next I will replace the blower itself from a similar source. Could it be anything else? Is there a relay or chip in the heating controls itself that I should replace or consider replacing? My wipers etc all work fine.
