AudiBilly Posted June 10, 2019 Share Posted June 10, 2019 Hello to all, I’m new to forum but not new to Audi’s. i have a 140BHP TdI A4 Avant with the M tronic gearbox, I had it tuned to 190BHP approx. It’s ok and fairly economical. id now like to buy one a bit more spicy, don’t think I can justify or afford the RS4 and have seen the possibilities of the S4 after tuning, (Chris Harris on YouTube), so I’m tempted for one of those. i like the B8 and it fits my budget, around £12 to 15k ish. when I look at S4’s for sale on Autotrader I see some with ‘select drive’ button, I guess that’s the same feature as the RS4 dynamic etc, but must have been an optional extra, right? when I see a round gear knob (S4 on top) I’m sure it’s the S tronic gearbox (Audi’s version of the DSG) but I’ve also seen a few labelled ‘S Tronic’ that have a gear knob same as my TDI, I definitely wouldn’t want another M tronic especially with 400 BHP. can anyone clarify please? I want S Tronic and Select drive, and as many other extras possible, as ya do... thanks in advance for any pointers, also if there are any do’s and don’t on this model.
