Looking for advice after broken oil-line pipe

Featured Replies

Hi,

First time here so hello and thanks for reading.

Yesterday I had a minor disaster occur in the form of a broken oil-line pipe in the transmission which caused all fluid to leak out. At first the dashboard readout said "Gearbox malfunction - continue to drive" .. so I did. Little did I know the transmission fluid was continuing to leak out until there was none left. Obviously I've trashed the gearbox and just wanted some advice really. Has anybody else experienced this? If so, did you take it up with Audi / a dealership and if so, what did they say?

The car's done 90K miles, new gearbox fitted at 60K miles.

Any and all advice welcome, thanks very much!

- Steve
