audi a1 2.0tdi engine change question

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm having to renew the engine on my a1 2.0dti after suspected turbo failure leading to a conrod breakage.

the first question I have is can the engine be removed in situ, I.e. have the clearance to be seperated from the gearbox, or do I need to remove both as a unit and separate once removed from chassis.

the second relates to fuel pump and injectors, are these coded to the ECU? in which case I'll fot the existing parts to the replacement  engine, rather than those supplied with the new engine.

Thanks in advance, any input is greatly appreciated. 👍
