2017 S3 gearbox malfunction alert!

Featured Replies

Driving today in my S3 (2018) i changed from comfort to dynamic whilst moving, i soon got the amber gearbox caution above the digital speedo and a caution triangle below,. the page said " Gearbox malfunction-you can drive in D until engine off."

Is the fact i did not take my foot off the throttle whilst changing modes likely to has caused this alert???
anybody know please???
