LED interior reading light retro fit from 2016 model

Featured Replies

Hi I'm looking to retro fit the front and rear reading lights from a 2016 Allroad A6 4G. I've seen a few places that I can buy the kit from  LED interior reading illumination front, back for Audi A6, A7 4G (kufatec.com) but it's on the expensive side.

Plenty of LED units on ebay but I think some wiring needs to be done?

I don't want to fit cheap LED bulbs before people start sending links for this.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Wayne

Trupesh at emtuning has fitted a complete set of LED interior lights to my A6 and a previous A5. No extra wiring or resistors are required with his bulbs.

He is so quick at changing over the 19 bulbs - including reversing lights - that it is quicker to drive up from London to Wellingborough and back than to do it myself. LED lights transform the interior.

He is a lovely chap as well.

That’s great but I really want to keep it OEM. Audi do a direct replacement that has all LEDs fitted but think some wiring and coding is needed. Can some one help?

When emtuning put all the LEDs into my A6 (£100 for 19 LED's,fitted), only the reversing lights needed to be coded (to eliminate the bulb failure warning).
