Spacesaver Spare Wheel

I just tested out a spacesaver from a breaker yard Q7 on my Q5 - it fits ok but on a slow drive round the block, warning lights for a faulty electric parking brake and faulty traction control worried me a bit. When normal wheel was refitted lights went out, is this anything to be concerned about, or can you disable them? Any ideas will be welcome, thanks in advance
