B8 allroad load cover fitting

Featured Replies

Good morning, just seeing if people have had the same issue as myself, I brought my 2011 allroad without a load cover for the boot, I've brought this one below and it doesn't seem to fit in the space, it seems too wide for the gaps, I've tried pushing the clips in either end, is there a difference between the normal avant and allroad boots or is there a different between the b8 and 8.5, or am I doing something wrong to get it to fit? Advice would be appreciatedimage.thumb.png.31109be44767cbacf04ceff487c15bd5.pngimage.thumb.jpeg.c0f198b71e326d08dba2418260a311e0.jpegimage.thumb.jpeg.e9b77ed8363d9bdd3df9ac5252f07038.jpegimage.thumb.jpeg.5db3db01ab670597ba5be3acd8c8812b.jpeg

Hi,

Looking at your pictures, i think I can see the problem,

they are a bit awkward to fit,

you have to put the left hand end in first  (it goes in at an angle)

then the other end should click into place.

hope this helps.

Hi mate, thanks your your reply, I've tried again and it just seems too wide to fit in both slots, I must be doing something wrong.

My next question is whether the allroad and normal avant have different connectors for the boot, I've been to my local audi dealer and they couldn't get it to fit

Hello, newby here, but did you know each end compresses inwards? They are spring loaded. They are wider in the relaxed state, but they are squeezed into the recesses.
