Drive Mode - Change on its own ?

Hi I am new to this forum.

Anyone experienced their drive mode switches on its own? Love this car but recently, I've enountered an intermittent problem.
I drive mostly in Auto mode 'D' Over the months, I experienced about a dozen times, my drive mode would switched ON ITS OWN, randomly, to Dynamic 'S' mode without me noticing when it happened. I only realised this changed, of course, when my acceleration becomes more sporty. My problem is, I am unable to replicate the conditions when these changes took place. My driving style tends to be gentle n smooth.

Even sometimes when I'm driving in "Comfort' mode, sometimes the gear transmission displayed on the virtual cockpit is "S".

Anyone encountered this strange problem?

Thanks,

Sonny

Hi Dave, yeah I'm used to it too but part of me still want to find out the issue properly.

I did take it to Audi about it and they took it for a drive to see if it it changes and trust my car to not show the problem at that time. So they couldn't solve it.
It's weird how your model year is 2021 and you have this issue too.

Last thing I want is for my partner to be doing 30mph on 'S' mode wasting fuel.😄

Yes it's one of those intermittent faults that will never happen when they have your car can honestly say doesn't do it very often I just thought it was the car deciding to put it into a different mode to suit your driving but that's what auto mode is for so shouldn't be doing it.just tell ya wife that s mode means ya going to be SKINT if she doesn't change it back 🤣
